Thank you for these videos. They are very inspiring. One area which I hope that you will try to improve is the image quality of the videos. In 2024 I think that 720p is a minimum quality and that 1080p or higher should be what to aim for to show details more clearly. I am very aware that this is difficult as these interviews live over the internet and you are reliant on your broadband speed and the other party's as well as their hardware limitations. High quality still images could be added, though they can often be seen via the links which you provide. Please don't take this as criticism, because I really appreciate this channel, rather a suggestion for improvement. All the best from bonnie Scotland.

Definitely an issue that we have tried to address throughout the years. We are restricted by the internet and the recording of the meetings live. I appreciate your feedback. We do everything we can to try to make it as beneficial to the viewer as possible and are open to any suggestions that may help to make the quality better.

@@intlassocofwoodcarvers Thank you for your positive response. It's a very difficult problem with many unknown variables. I can think of a few suggestions: Run a test interview several days or even weeks before to test the connection and troubleshoot with someone familiar with hardware and software. Lend interviewees hardware (a webcam) if necessary. Record the interview in high quality on the interviewees computer and then after the live session update their portion of the video with the higher quality video and then update the video published on KZbin. This would of course be a lot more work maybe for marginal gains as video quality is not only dictated by resolution, but also by lens quality. Of course none of these solutions may be practical and I suspect that it may be simpler to increase the video quality whenever possible as technology gradually improves. It's great that you are aware of the problem. Again thank you for all of the wonderful content on your channel.

After having a bit of a run of unfortunate life events, I have been feeling rather sorry for myself and haven’t had the headspace for anything. You’ve inspired me to pull my head out of my arse and crack on with life. 😂 cheers big yin! Big love to ya! 🫶🏻🫶🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I have watched a ton of woodcarving videos and do not recall seeing anyone who carves with both hands. I remember watching the Linker bear video and I decided to carve along, and after marking out the block and completing several cuts, he flips the block upside-down for a cut and when I did it my mind went...what the heck just happened and I was lost...until I trained myself to carve with my right hand to achieve symmetry. Thanks for sharing your carving journey!

I actually have a certain knife I use just because I have the blade broken in to do scoop cuts left handed and such. It did take a few carvings to get use to it.
