They were developed at the same time and they split the studio in half with a and b teams and they had trouble getting both movies green lit till the Arthur of the graves of the fireflies gave his blessing and with that both films got green lit and after both films came out ghibli had to restructure to having new animators and with that started development on kiki's

I haven't watched the movie yet but i know what it's about. Everything from Ghibli comes from the heart. Truly sad knowing it might come to an end.

Ghibli rarely ever misses, and this film for sure doesn't miss. We definitely recommend this film but only if you are in the right headspace for it.
