Rn I'm making more than I make in 7 hours of work at $10/hour I'm making $18-40-hour despite it saying $14/hour 😂😂😂 thanks to $5-7 tips on top I made $172 in 7 hours dash time and glass 6 hours active time 😂

The pay to hour difference is not all that great. You have to Doordash for at least 12 hours or so for it to be worth it, and that's if you get consistent orders. Even when the orders don't pay that much, I still only use about a quarter tank of gas just after earning $50. A quarter tank of gas is roughly $10 for me, so really, I only made $40, and that was within 4 hours of Doordashing. So, really, I would have to be Dorrdashing 16 hours straight to make a decent profit.

Fortunately they earned by time averages to $20 per hour pretty consistently throughout the day in spfd mass

$18/hr here and I scan and number each package according to the itenerary. Much more reliable and faster.

The sad part is most of the orders are pure raw and uncut garbage. 2 stops 8 miles for $10.39 is disrespectful especially when it’s highly likely that one would have to bring $200 worth of food up 4 flights of stairs with absolutely no tip. If lucky you’ll make $5 bucks an hour. Spark is terrible 80% of the time.

The companies employing the drivers need to provide a sufficient wage for their drivers, and so do bars and restaurants for their staff members. It should not be down to the public to pay extra towards your wage, they do that already when they pay for the meals, service fees etc. Your employer should look after you and if they don’t, leave! Tipping is done out of gratitude for good service, at least here in the UK. I’ll always tip great service wherever I go, and if on the odd occasion that I do get a food delivery. I was a delivery driver a few years back, I got paid £15 an hour plus £1.50 per local delivery and up to £6 per delivery depending on the range of the 5 mile limit, any tips were always appreciated. Working just 4 hours I’d easily earn £130+ per day, I’d put around £60 fuel in for the week too. If I did it full time I’d earn much more, that’s called having a good employer. I would never expect or rely on tips and I wouldn’t get mad if I didn’t get one. If someone has stretched and spent their last bit of money treating themselves to a take away before payday and can only tip a small amount, that’s their business, their situation and their money. Be grateful

If you're making money, earn by time, then the people earning per delivery are making more money than you. In my experience .

Washington we have 16.50 but it's more like 20 to 24 per hr

Cool technique. I did my first ever flex block last Friday. Amazing showed no mercy for a first timer like me. I got slammed with 44 stops. There were also food items included. This also all had to be done in 4 hours. I was new so was clueless as to what i was doing. What a welcome for the new guy huh?
