10.75 in my area I suspect that they're basically only doing this because of people who have the good sense to deny orders that would not pay for a gallon of gas at least. I think that there are advantages to it ,like if its not a busy day out...but it makes sense why from a corporate standpoint. It is a good way to motivate us to take the crappy orders, which helps get more efficient service for people who do not dash, but order from the app. Personally, I have just started with the. hourly pay method and I haven't gone out enough to see if I like it or not. Tonight, I made ten dollars less than I would going the same amount of time with the more traditional Doordash method.

Just came to my market today, and it's $13 an hour of dashing time. I always go by the total time but I'm out doing delivery including the time that I'm just sitting around. And I average between $13 and $15 an hour for the total amount of time I spend out. The dashing time is usually closer to $20-$25 an hour. So I'd have to make at least an additional $7 an hour from tips to make the hourly pay worth it. And since the whole point is to get the cheap orders delivered it's very unlikely that would happen
@ballHand2 жыл бұрын
Also when doordash says you can go straight to normal dashing after you've been kicked off the paid per hour model that isn't true. You have to reschedule a whole new shift if you're lucky enough to be able to. And considering I have to schedule my shifts a week in advance to get anything good I don't think I want to risk losing what I've already got
