Vinnie is truly a treasure. Got to chat with him back stage at a Sting show years ago. I had hosted Sting's keyboardist David Sancious for numerous shows up here in Maine and was invited back stage to the Bangor Waterfront show. Vinnie walks up tp me and says "Ed right"? That threw me! He told me he really appreciated what we did for David and said he would gladly be a part of a show I might put together! I thanked him of course, but admitted I was too small time to host anything of that calibur. I mean, he could fill a big room on his name alone. Hell of an offer though! Then Sting's guitarist Dominic Miller posed for a pic with me and my family. Vinnie took the picture. That was a surreal and wonderful 1/2 hour of my life :)

Amazing music! Vinnie is the very best drummer with his ability to play anything, with touch, finesse, power, dynamics, feel, and emotion- he elevates all music he plays on.

So this is amazing to me. Vinnie = Godly drumming. But everyone in the comments is saying “oh that trombone solo” or something along those lines. I think what makes the soloists amazing (either than the fact that they’re amazing musicians) is that Vinnie allows them to breathe and take spotlight. That is the sign of an amazing drummer: being barely noticeable by everyone else and allowing others to shine.

It appears that Vinnie is using Steve Gadd’s signature Vic Firth sticks.

I like the Vinnie's style which has no excessive action but impressive and effective tone as usual. That is my ideal.

Vinnie plays with Steve Gadd sticks for this song. Heavier sticks and a more defined tip for the hats you can hear it.

Love the music and the quality of the recording is superb. I saw Peter 20 odd yrs back in London. What a player! In fact the whole orchestra is full of world class players. Thank you for blessing the world with your talents. 🙏

Count along with the groove..."1,2,3,4...1,2,3,4..." and then notice how the fill drops. Good stuff.

I’ve been a huge fan of John ever since I heard him with Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette.. amazing guitarist. But Peter… he is a god among men. For me, among the greatest drummers if not _the_ greatest of all time. Thanks for sharing these guys with those who may have never heard them before.

The fills are incredible, naturally, but it's that groove that Vinnie lays down that blows my mind. The consistency of the dynamics in those hi hat barks throughout the whole song is inhuman.😅
