Ouellette is one of Windsor’s main streets and is a diverse and dynamic spot with lots of restaurants, shops, and cultural spots nearby. Pelissier is primarily residential and has more of a downtown feel, while Tecumseh Road is a major commercial corridor. The Town of Tecumseh is a residential suburban that services Windsor. In terms of moving from the U.S. to Canada, many people I speak with find their adjustment quite positive. Whether the move is for a work, education or family reasons, Canada is known for its healthcare system, public safety, and welcoming communities, which are huge draws for new residents. Windsor, in particular, has a mix of small-town charm and access to Detroit just across the border, so it’s a popular spot for those with ties to both countries.
