I made my first heavy winter coat about 44 years ago, out of winter white camel hair and lined it with a heavyweight lining satin in gold. I completely messed up the lining vent and had to patch it up to make it work. Nice to know I’m not alone.😊

You should consider pattern placement on bodices as your bodice looks off... just some advice. I found this post annoying. Make food posts OR dress makung posts.

Thank you so much for your question! To answer briefly, I acquired my sewing and design skills by taking a fashion design course, and I learned about interlining and seams through many mistakes.
