I made my first heavy winter coat about 44 years ago, out of winter white camel hair and lined it with a heavyweight lining satin in gold. I completely messed up the lining vent and had to patch it up to make it work. Nice to know I’m not alone.😊

Wow, that sounds like an amazing project! A winter white camel hair coat with gold satin lining must have looked stunning. 😊 It's true, it's really difficult to match the lining vent. It's comforting to hear that even experienced sewers like you faced challenges too. We all learn and grow through our sewing journeys. Thank you for sharing your story and for your encouragement! ❤️
