have you tried the yamaha jr2s? it has a solid spruce top. does the apxt2 sounds better than the jr2s? they both have the same size. i am considering buying either one of the two . pls help me decide.
@VinceGuitarHubАй бұрын
I've actually played both, and they do sound similar. However, I think the APXT2 has many more benefits, if I'm honest. The C-shape of the body is helpful for playing higher notes, it has a pickup that sounds really good, and the built-in tuner is also a huge plus. The price difference isn't that big, plus I believe the APXT2 has more color options.

The Cmaj7 and many other chords are all wrong - missing the 5th note. Thats a pretty fundamental and important omission.
@VinceGuitarHubАй бұрын
Where exactly? By the way when you construct a Maj7 chord the 5th can be omitted because the 3rd and the 7th are the notes that define the chord.
@darrells18068 күн бұрын
@@VinceGuitarHubI thought the notes that define a cord are the first, third and fifth of the scale.

Hey! I just subscribed. Do you have any tips or suggestions for learning/doing fingerpicking? After 15 years of playing electric, that's what I am interested in now, and I am thinking to get this guitar as well for the good balance of quality (based on reviews) and price. Any advice appreciated!
@VinceGuitarHubАй бұрын
Hey! Thank you for your comment. I would make a video about that over the weekend. The trick is to see your fingers as numbers, and start practicing patterns, let's say 123432 for each chord on each bar. Let's say: Em - A - Em - B

does it need a guitar setup or is it fine out of the box
@VinceGuitarHub2 ай бұрын
I actually got it on Facebook Marketplace. In my experience, though, Yamaha guitars are always properly set up right out of the box.

@VinceGuitarHub2 ай бұрын
If you're starting out, practice for 10-15 min but everyday, I prefer a few minutes a day rather than 2 hours every now and then, stay consistent and start small, understand each one of the strings one by one and little by little build up your style, hope that helps and thank you for your comment!

I think you started on the Eb7 and not on the D7. So you start Eb7 briefly slide it to E7. It's cool sounding btw!
@VinceGuitarHub2 ай бұрын
I see it more as a lick utilizing the same shape you would normally use to play a D7, sliding it two frets down and playing on the low E string.

"Arpeggio is simple"? Ok maybe but a description of exactly what is happening within the picking pattern is needed. If we could decipher the pick/strum/slap we would just watch him play it to see the chords and wallah.
