Kurt starts the riff on an upstroke, making the rhythm slightly different and the power chords being held are catching extra strings adding more notes. It's loose and sloppy with a purpose, that's why it's hard to actually imitate.

It sounds like the frozen ones vibrate less. On a scale, if the normal vibrates at a 100, I say the frozen vibrates at an 95 or 90. It's Very hard to notice, dunno if anyone else heard it or it is just me
