Do all breast ultrasounds know this? How do we know if ours was done correctly

Excellent! i have a question: why waveform of lower limb are normally triphasic (high pulsatility and resistance) and waveform of upper limb are normally mixed pulsatility and resistance (as at 32:58 in the middle on the right part of figure) or there is no difference between upper and lower limbs? thanks in advance

Is hypervascularity with many small blue and red dots but seemingly around the rim still considered malignant or only if it penetrates the mass?

But when do you do your 1st real live scrotal exam? I would hate to be the man who is your 1st customer? Seems you need to "practice"? Not just on eggs or gummy bears. It is the same for many other similar nursing skills which are gender sensitive for some people like putting in a urinary catheters etc.

@@Steve-hk2yr excellent question! Student sonographers practice on live patients under the supervision of a licensed sonographer and radiologist for a year. 2000 hours of internship in a hospital in addition to our 1 year of practice in a lab on phantoms. And then we have to sit for and pass our national licensing exams. We only practice on live patients after identifying ourselves as a student and obtaining the permission of the patient to start their exam. The licensed sonographer scans after us (with the consent of the patient) to ensure that all exam parameters were exceeded. Unfortunately, yes, everyone has to start somewhere to learn critical skills…even doctors. This is why patients are told about our status as a student and get to choose for themselves whether they consent to a student scanning them first.

@@SonographyMinutes Thanks for the info. I did not realise the one year of mandatory practice with supervision. I guess I have never had a "student" present for an x-ray or ultrasound procedure. I have always been very satisfied with the ultrasounds I have received. Keep up the good work.

Agree with all these except diving kidneys. Sometimes you just can't get horizontal kidneys due to gas/ribs/other.
