Can you do Pinocchio’s Story by Kanye West from 808s & Heartbreaks? One of his most emotional songs and would love to learn more

No way he used Tera chehara by Himesh Reshammiya as intro 😂

Thank you very much for the time you put into this. The perspective of someone that assists with mental health professionally, on a song by someone skilled in painting these issues we all encounter in our minds so clearly, is invaluable.

As a diehard DG fan since January 2012, seen them in all 4 live lineups once each, you get it completely. Thanks for helping the uninitiated see it. ❤

I used to listen to Kid Cudi when I was younger, I faced similar feelings of sorrow that he did. His words resonated with me, his response to his issues didn’t though. Thankfully I never went all out down the self destructive path. It’s never the answer to pain, it only leads to further inflicted yourself with more pain. I got a bachelors in psych, and I want to work in the field of psychology in some way and discuss these kids of topics, writing a book is a goal I have. so I thoroughly enjoyed this breakdown video, and I’m thankful for all the gems you shared and honest words of advice on what to pursue and how to pursue it. You have a way with words. Much respect to you! “Go pursue, but do it in the right way.”

“Fuck a sugar act, niggas out pushing crack; and I lost my father figure because of that” Is such good line. They were worried about sugar in products, while people are out here selling crack, and ruining households by getting people addicted.

that's the thing about music. you can comprehend it in a way that resonates with your life, your history and your experiences and then there's what the artist actually puts in his art based on his experiences:)

I love the fact that you pointed out the voice dynamics... i had taken it as one trying to find the right balance if pride. We all know having too much can be detrimental but not having any or enough can just be as bad ... the middle ground is humility.

This song means a lot to me, and i thought you gave a fantastic analysis! Towards the end of the track, some lyrics are: "All the nights I don't die for you Wouldn't believe how many nights I ain't died for you on GP Not that I care, I'd be a liar if I sat here claiming I'd exit in a minute But I can't say I wouldn't I have my limits" These lyrics hit me hard, and im sure plenty of other people as well. It reminds me of the desire not to exist. You dont want to abandon others, but you dont want to exist... Its like being in a limbo where everything feels pointless, and you're sticking it out, but you consistently think about ending it nonetheless. You know you wont do it now, but the idea is still in your head, festering.

A suicide note? That is tarnishing his memory by wrongly assuming he killed himself. People can be having mental health issues and not want to die, they just want to get better. He was partying with friends and took counterfeit pills that killed him by accident. He had a premonition of this in his song Brand Name : "To everyone who sell me drugs: Don't mix it with that bullshit, I'm hopin' not to join the 27 Club".

I saw them live in Brooklyn years ago. Most intense show I’ve ever been to. I was holding a beer before they started. The second they started that beer was on the floor. A guy jumped off a speaker and knocked me to the ground. MC Ride was raising his hand at the edge of the stage and people were climbing on top of each other like it was World War Z.
