Hey, i just wanted to say I really love your content. I'm 17 and really into psychology. I love all the songs you explain and its eye opening to hear what your perspectives are on a psychological level. Especially being that you're an LCSW. My mother is an LSCSW and she's always broken down the songs I listen to. She's raised me as a single mom and the part where you talked about having a single mom really spoke to me. I've always had to say my father wasn't around when asked about where he is. I had no idea that had anything to do with the song, but I've been listening to it for years. I plan to be a therapist in the future and watching these kinds of videos really helps me want to pursue that. From my generation to yours, I think we could all say we appreciate seeing you offer this type of connection to ours :)

I deeply relate to this song. My father isn't an alcoholic/ drug user like Mac's but his mental health problems have always kept him distant and difficult to have a relationship with. When I was getting married recently, he told me he'd come to my wedding. He even sent me pictures of clothes he was buying to wear. Then, a week before he said he couldn't come. My mom and grandmother walked me down the aisle. He said it was anxiety. Well, you know who else had anxiety? Me. The bride. A part of me thinks it was a good thing he didn't come because it would've been awkward (I hadn't seen him basically since my high school graduation) and he might've caused a scene. I really relate to Mac in that it's strange deciding how to feel about it. It's confusing.

Its amazing how many truly great artists there are out there to listen to and to even break down. The talent level is of the chart. We have gotten requests to do Eminem. This is the first for John Mayer but I have listened to his music before and he would be another great artist to break down.
