14:30 I think this is a feature not a bug. I follow alot of game developers and lots of modern design philosophies revolve around removing the skill component from the equation. They like to present the illusion of challenge and fairness whilst aiding the poor players as much as humanly possible. I guarantee the game itself is programmed to allow bad players to score on you with bad shots in order to keep the game “competitive” lol. RNG is just programmed into modern game design there is a hidden hand at play in most modern games. U less the game is something that is like a bona fide comp videogame where there are thousands of dollars on the line you know something like Counterstrike you can be sure that the hidden hand is baked into the game design. “Oh you are doing good? Well how about we force your CPU teammates to start taking penalties how do you like that?”

You can really tell the development team since 15-16 havnt been players of the game, there’s no way these guys could play this slop and have any kind of fun, it’s like ai making the important decisions

They’ve murdered every aspect of fun this game ever had, they killed the gameplay with crap Input delay for half of the users, horrid servers and it’s “improved slower” gameplay. Rivals etc has no point like you said the input lag is insane, mix in the crazy server delay, if you aren’t in the right location the game feels almost unplayable, mix in every point you made about the glitch abusing. I’m a 10 year d1-d2 vet and if I put the game on pro or above or online.. and I was to make a black dot on my tv screen on the ice, I physically wouldn’t be able to skate to that spot. I’m a great player but there isn’t much I can do when I literally can’t move where I want because the animations are stupid/wrong because it’s reading an input I made 1 sec ago.. it’s insane I’m not the greatest in the world but I’ve beaten sleeves, i played with bacon country back in the day, I’m not amazing but I’m not bad either. I can’t even play with a pro difficulty 75 ovr team because I physically can’t skate up the ice or turn or do anything without my player doing some weird 180, if I pass up the lane as soon as my guy gets it he stops acceerating and just stops moving for about a second and a half, cards 10 ovr less can catch up 10-20 ft breakaways in 1-3 strides because my dude literally holds the puck for 2 seconds before any of my directional/forward input is registered, all I can try for is d-d one timers because I have to hold the next pass down prior to the puck getting to my guy or he’s gonna hold the puck for almost 3 seconds. I have to press shoot as I’m passing the puck to get my guy a one timer animation, like I almost have to guess what sort of input delay we have today. I got back on nhl 22 and beat the superstar ai 21-1 with the blue jackets.. so idk what I’m doing wrong or if it’s my location etc but I physically can’t play this game, and I love how instead of apologizing to us that have these issues, or fixing it, they misadvertise paid goods and services, tell us we get unreadable cards in paid packs and then give us bnd cards, cards specifically being bought for events and they know that. Genuinely illegal in the us and Canada I do not know how they are getting away with it, we’re the ea Guinea pigs I guess, hockey fans are tougher than the nba and football kids let’s see how much greed we can get away with so we know how much we can abuse the other fan bases and get away with it. Absolutely disgusting company.

It was better when there was 1 Wayne Gretzky or Lemuix it wasn't endlessly grinding then having obsolete cards. It was nice to rack up stats over 100 games with one player, it felt real.

I was a top eashl player from nhl 16 to nhl 22. We would match against esports teams and it was so much fun bc it was pure skill both ways. nhl 23 was so bad half our squad quit then nhl 24 we didn’t have enough left to get 6s

I felt all 50 minutes of that my man. Big fan of your gameplay/content and hearing you go off like that hit home since it's exactly what my boys and I have been talking about recently. Dynamic difficulty adjustment is embedded in the EA sport video game code. You look young so I don't expect you to remember. Before 2007 (that's when my uncle passed away). EA Sports advertised and installed Dynamic difficulty adjustment into the gameplay. I remember trolling my uncle telling him that he wouldn't be able to beat me so badly anymore because he was going to have to play on the Superstar difficulty and I would be playing on the rookie difficulty You can look up their patent, they own the rights to this mechanic. Dynamic difficulty adjustment will adjust the sliders based on the user playing. It's based off of a ton of different things such as money spent, time played, age and skill level Back in the early 2000s it was advertised as a mechanic to not allow the older brother to beat up on the younger brother so badly every game This is the main reason why there is not a single EA Sports video game on PC. The data mining that would become available would expose this fraudulent mechanic. This mechanic tricks the playerbase into thinking they need to spend money and upgrade the cards on their team EA Sports is a fraudulent company that preys on children, young adults and at risk individuals. There should be no such thing as packs being sold in states that don't even allow gambling. They especially shouldn't be able to sell them to minors. Only downright moraless scum would promote pack odds and gambling to children. This is a prime example of why monopolies are illegal. There is no other game creators acting as competition. EA is left to do whatever they want because they know we will still buy their game

Here’s an analogy I think anyone can understand. If I knocked on your door and told you I’d pay you 5k weekly whether you work or not guaranteed for the rest of your life would you still be inclined to go to work ? So it’s the exact sentiment EA has as well. Why make meaningful changes when they have someone like yourself who’s willing to spend $200-$1000 per year on a game I think it comes upon a time we have to use common sense and realize you are part of the problem matter fact, you are the problem!
