I have tried using estriol on my hands first to check the skin reaction. On the third day of application, my ten-year-old daughter took my hand and said, "Mom, your hands are so soft!" But I regularly took care of my hands before that: serum and cream every evening…

If you felt that in 3 days thats because you are putting lotion on your hands not because of the estriol as it would take months for that work if at all

Great info. I get my compounded creams from a pharmacy in Greece, because not possible in spain! I'm so happy on my DHEA, compounded vaginal estrogen & testosterone; transdermal estrogen & progesterone, plus transdermal testosterone that I can buy over the counter here in spain. I looked at changing to oral estradiol, and the "controlled" hrt from the UK, but the actual tablet was full of stuff I don't eat (emulsifiers and a lot of crap!!) And I'm doing well on the compounded, so why change. I will share this video with friends, thanks

You didn’t address compounded bi-est (estrone + estradiol) vs big pharma estradiol. My understanding is that there is no FDA-approved bi-est available, that bi-est is only available from a compounding pharmacy. Many of the menopause doctors on KZbin recommend estradiol only in either patch or oral delivery. They do not recommend bi-est because they say estrone in bi-est is ineffective. What is your opinion on bi-est?

Isn’t there an optimal estradiol blood serum level for a menopausal woman with osteoporosis? I’ve seen other physicians say that in order for estradiol to be protective against bone loss you need to be in close to 100 pg. My GYN unfortunately doesn’t do labs and on adjusts dosage based on symptoms 🤪😤 but I got labs and my estradiol is only 11 pg on my HRT after 4 months. I hate to wait a year for a dexa scan only to find out that I’ve lost even more bone!

What names of bio identical hormones should we ask for? I’m interested in a estradiol patch and progesterone pill , thank you
@New-York-Attitude13 күн бұрын
Any patch you get in the US is going to be bio identical, no matter the brand as far as I know if it says estradiol. Some compounding pharmacies may use non-bio identical. Progesterone is bio identical. FYI the hormones used in the WHI study in 2001 were not bio identical (oral conjugated equine estrogens plus medroxyprogesterone acetate).

Regarding the Dutch test. What randomized controlled trial utilized the Dutch test to show its benefits with regard to clinical decision making or even impacting outcome? Could you please provide any randomized controlled trials that support your use of the Dutch test? What study has shown that looking at end stage metabolites was helpful with clinical decision-making? Are there any studies showing that when we effect these end stage metabolites that we change the natural course of any disease? How does the Dutch test change dosing? All studies are done with serum levels.

Hey Keith don’t you work for Worldlink that garbage company that trains doctors to horribly overdose women and that charlatan Rouzier who steals pellets formulations and jumps companies not to mention pellets are the worst form of HRT. If you want to talk about studies then show me some for pellets lol. Lastly if you actually listened to what I said I said that bad practitioners are falsely using the DUTCH to sell supplements so what you use the results for is your thing
@keithnicholsmd689623 күн бұрын
@@ShawnTassoneMDPhD what you said is that you use the Dutch test for 10 to 20 patients per year and I would like to know what you gleam from the Dutch test in these patients and how it changes your clinical treatment as well as any studies to show that the Dutch test was beneficial with regard to changing outcomes or treatment Secondly, I don’t do pellets and we have the same opinion on pellets Thirdly, you really don’t know anything about Neal Rouzier and a lot of what you’ve said already online is false about him. He doesn’t promote pellets. he didn’t steal any information from anyone as you obviously don’t know the details about what occurred. You can’t even pronounce his name correctly. He treats symptoms and not numbers. I’ve asked you to take a look at the research and literature done by Dr. Rebecca Glasser concerning testosterone and females for instance. You will actually learn something about pharmacologic dosing for a physiological effect versus physiologic dosing. dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.maturitas.2012.11.004. You also don’t understand the word overdosing do you? Can you overdose on testosterone? Can you overdose on progesterone? when’s the last time you were called to the emergency room or hospital due to an overdose of testosterone or progesterone or any other hormone? And no, I don’t work for worldlink but I have been doing this for 20 years and studying the literature comprehensively for 20 years. You lack insight to what contribute to becoming an expert. You mean you have to be an OB/GYN to become a horn expert? My OB/GYN colleagues refer patients to me because they all admit that they didn’t get any hormone training in residency. I will wait for those studies on the Dutch test as well as how ordering the Dutch test impacts care or clinical outcomes

@@keithnicholsmd6896 This response is not only scary but highly disgusting and your participation trophy from Worldlink isn't worth the paper it was printed on. Can you overdose on Testosterone?????? Are you actually a physician???? Does an overdose require a visit to the ER like heroine or would a woman talking like a man having clirotmegally or eventually yeah having heart disease and stroke because you have made them polycythemia or hypertensive. You aren't an expert youre a money hungry pellet pusher and you are harming women and probably men for that matter and your comments are literally disgusting and I am going to use them on my IG page. yo show women the disgust that it is being taught by organizations like Rouzier and Worldlink and you don't work for them but you teach for them???? You asking for literature is like a child asking a grown up to explain Aristotle you're horribly uneducated and I doubt you can read a study. I remember people that went into Physical Medicine and Rehab as being the ones that didn't match and now they think they are hormone experts or self proclaimed endocrine disruption experts lol. Keep talking because my followers are going to love this drivel

@@ShawnTassoneMDPhD your ego gets the best of you but you literally do not know what you do not know. I do not do pellets and I have told you that repetitively. I'll tell you what I'll make a few videos on your videos and expose your ignorance. You've got a lot of things right but you've got a lot of things wrong. Are you saying that you believe that testosterone causes strokes because of polycythemia? Well, here's where you don't know what you don't know Mr. dunning Kruger. Testosterone doesn't cause polycythemia it causes secondary erythrocytosis. Do you not know the difference? Testosterone has been used for over 85 years and it has never caused heart attacks or strokes in any randomized controlled trials and there is not an epidemic of heart attacks and strokes in men that are even abusing testosterone in most every city in every state of the country. And you don't listen because you know it all don't you? I'll never use pellets. Do you think testosterone causes heart disease? You can't be that ignorant can you ?well apparently you can. And while you're on your high horse, what do you want admit is that no specialty teaches hormones and that includes OB/GYN. They are some of the most ignorant on hormones because they are taught by the pharmaceutical companies and while you were out there doing hysterectomies and other surgeries, and while seeing clinic patients, many of us are spending 8 to 10 hours a day doing nothing but hormones and learning the literature. I'll put my résumé up against yours any day. And you'll always come back with an answer like what you did when I asked you to provide any literature on the Dutch test that you actually utilize. See that's the response of a child and not someone versed in the literature. I would always answer back with the literature. I'll be doing a lecture on the secondary erythrocytosis from testosterone in the next couple of months and I'll be sure to include your comments to show how uneducated other physicians are concerning this topic and the misinformation they promote. You appear to spend a lot of time on these videos attacking others just to promote or feel better about yourself. That's a really weak man.

Estradiol has to be high enough dosage for growth also. 200 mg bio progesterone is probably needed to thin the lining in 2nd half of cycle. Please research. 😊

I have a friend who’s been a nutritionist for 30 years with a doctorate degree. I don’t know where nutritionist circles get this idea but, when I was going through the change, she told me it should only take three months and be done with. I tried that. After three months, that definitely was not true for me. She believed I had an imbalance somewhere. Well, she never told me what that imbalance was. Many nutritionists are of the mindset “only nutrition”. I think her mother would have lived longer had she been given hormone replacement therapy. She fell. Broke her bones. Didn’t live long afterward. True her mother never needed pharmaceuticals, but I thought her to be kind of thin. Usually thin women tend to have frail bones. 🦴 Can’t make the cholesterol your body needs for hormones if you don’t have much fat. Not to poo poo all nutritionists. I know she definitely helped a lot of people reverse their diabetes colitis, even multiple sclerosis. I met these people, so I know it’s not a bunch of bunk completely. I think it’s true like Dr. Mary Claire Haver says about needing menopause education. We are still in the dark ages and have yet a lot to learn.

This consists of Organic green tea, whole cloves, dried hibiscus flowers dried thyme, and a little organic honey for taste moderation.
