Dr. Tassone has changed my life…. I thank GOD there is a man who cares enough about women…..women don’t care about women as much as he does…. I feel better than I have in 20 years…..

Same here. That horrible, hypervigilant anxiety--gone. I'm only a week in and already feeling the results.

I had lunch with a dear friend last week who is 68. When I mentioned that I was on HRT she turned her head to one side and looked at me like I had just told her I was shooting heroin! She asked me why, then said “I never did any of that stuff!” Well… she’s been in and out of the hospital over the last two years because her back is like Rice Krispies, she’s overweight and I can only imagine what else she’s dealing with, as a married woman. You are 100% correct when you say the Women’s Health Initiative has done women a grave disservice. My late mother was also a victim of the lies, died recently from broken ribs after suffering a fall in the late stages of dementia. I’ll take my chances with a Mack Truck. Thank you Dr. Tassone 🥰❤️🙏

I told an acquaintance that I was considering HRT and she blurted out "oh no! Don't do that. I had a friend who did, and got ureter cancer and a brain tumor" 🤦♀️🥴. I'm now on HRT, thanks to a telehealth visit with Dr. T. After only TWO days--crippling anxiety is gone, and I slept through the night. First time in over 12 years.

This was such an enjoyable video. Others have commented that as well. Probably because you’re validating our existence in such a respectful and interesting way. The very nature of women’s healthcare doesn’t always afford us that. One of your last comments was about insurance companies being the only ones benefiting from women’s healthcare. One thing that will always be fact is that insurance companies will benefit‼️ My husband would always remark that you never see an insurance corporate office housed is an ugly building‼️ I’m so glad you are my holistic MD‼️

63 and have suffered every menopausal symptom there is. I’ve been miserable for 10 years and have had no luck getting a traditional doctor to listen to me regarding all my symptoms. I finally educated them with yours and a few other online doctors and I was given the estradiol patch and progesterone 200 mg capsule (reluctantly)by my NP at the Obgyns office. My GP was a little taken aback back that I was given these and advises that I can only stay on them for a few years. I have not started taking them as I know you had said(on one of your videos)that women (over 60 I believe)should get a calcium scan to see if she has precursors to blood clots. My question is what do I ask for from my doctor to get that scheduled? Also, are all regular pharmacy progesterones micronized or does it specifically have to say micronized on the bottle( mine says progesterone common brand(s) promethium? Thank you for making women’s health important and not just sending us out to pasture and making us suffer until our last breaths 😊

I’m 61 (in Canada) and this is my experience……. I also suffered with a ton of symptoms for a long time and only found help when a NP opened up a Midlife Womens Clinic in my area a few years ago. She uses the protocol set out by the North American Menopause Society and prescribed estradiol gel, oral micronized progesterone - both at a low dose and increase only if symptoms aren’t improved - as well as a vaginal estrogen like Vagifem to address dryness and vaginal atrophy. It also helps prevent UTI’s if you’re prone to them.

I just got my estradiol patch and progesterone tablet today. I'm 60 and am concerned that no labs were ordered and that I need the heart scan also. I cry thinking I needed these hormones when I was in my late 30's . What could have been prevented if I knew and could have got help.

Just tell your your doctor you want a Calcium Arterial Scan. Period. My doctor ordered one, even though she refused to go the hormone route with me. It was $45 and took less than 15 minutes.

I used to ride a motorbike and wear full leathers. When I got a hot flash I would panic and have massive anxiety as I couldn't breathe. I would throw back the throttle to speed up and flip up my helmet visor just to try get some relief from the airflow. It was horrible.

I'm 68 and recently had a hysterectomy. I've been on the estradiol patch, along with micronized progesterone 200 mg capsules. My gynecologist wants me to stop the progesterone, saying I no longer "need" it, not having a uterus. Apparently, there's a fear of potential increased risk of breast cancer if I continue taking it. (I have no family history of breast cancer.) I've been reading a lot, trying to determine whether or not it's a good idea to continue taking the progesterone, but there is so much conflicting information out there, so I'm more confused than ever! 😢 I would sure appreciate any help with this. I am loving your podcasts and I especially enjoy your q&a's! ❤

I, too, have no uterus. Dr. Tassone addressed this topic, saying (I paraphrase) "if you don't have a uterus, you don't NEED progesterone, but you might WANT it!" He has me on it. Think about it this way: when you were producing adequate amounts of progesterone naturally, was your body working against your breast health? Unlikely. What most gynecologists don't know about hormones and replacement is A LOT!
@rosej96864 ай бұрын
@lizstraub6621 thanks for your reply! I wonder if it's ok to take progesterone every day, since our bodies used to produce it cyclically, i.e. it's not natural to take it every day? 🤷♀️

Canada also needs to step up to the plate. Luckily we don’t use insurance companies for our healthcare so that, hopefully, is a plus for women in our country.

Thanks Dr S , well i totally agree and couldn't live without my hrt (particularly testosterone!) But i am concerned with the carrier creams that the hormones are put into. I won't use bloody or face cream as I'm concerned (only use natural oils) but yet my hrt is in cream form. And the testosterone is in an alcohol gel!! This concerns me, but i won't be giving up HRT on that basis, but maybe the future prescriptions will be mindful of the carrier creams.
