best/quickest balancing results happens in the steep section ie having a charger on the batteries to lift the voltage to full voltage ie 2.8v will see the balance happen quicker and better balance too

If I buy 6 YINLONG batteries and join them in series to get about 15 volts with an S6 balancer, if I put a charger that gives 15 volts and 160 amps could I charge this kind of lithium battery??

cells may look close on lower state of charge, and once they enter the steep section you will see they aren't properly balanced. balancing at lower voltage they will look balanced try and charge it full and some cells will peak sooner than others you balance at fully charged voltage not at lower soc/voltage if you want to see if your cells are balanced you charge full and while at CV you check the individual cell voltages once resting they will look balanced lithium fools people cause they check at the wrong times

Why put the under the bus bar? I would have thought for the best throughput in the series cells, the bus bar would be better getting full contact with the individual cells. As this is just the balancer, the ring terminals would be best connected between bus bar and nut, as it uses much less current than the C rating of the cells.

on a car these would work between 1.83-2.45v which means a lot of the capacity can’t be used. I can be calculated if you look at a charging chart. to run the car below 11v is a bit too low, it will probably crank even at 10.8V. usually when the cars don’t crank is not because of the low voltage but because pb batteries below 12v are basically almost discharged and do not provide enough current anymore, it drops significantly, but a lto at 1.8 should still provide plenty of current for a 5cell pack: between 2.2-2.94 which is probably better but the 2.94 is not recommended and you have a cell less so 6 pack is ok I think.
