I understand that many people didn’t like the hat but I remember seeing this as a kid and absolutely loving it. In fact I could probably blame it for my obsession of wizard hats. Going to Disney and a few months and wish I would be able to see it one more time :/

I rode Journey Into Your Imagination around the time it opened. Obviously disappointed as the original ride was so beloved and I had ridden it many times since it opened. The “fix” helped a bit but still the feeling was EPCOT Center was moving in a different direction.

I know this is a year old, but I went on that attraction in Orlando, and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Gods, it is awful. So bad.

I loved the hat. I grew up with it being present still I guess I didn’t have the same nostalgia for the original look of the park. However with it being gone now, I miss it!

sadly they likely won't ever redo anything in that building because they'd have to shut down the adjoining restaurant for construction because of the asbestos in the walls.

I never cared for the hat and am glad it's gone. Did Disney not realise that the thing looked just like a giant blue traffic cone?

Just discovered your channel! I was in the second to last group that rode EEA. I was so bummed to not have gotten to get some pictures with the dinosaurs! We still had to be let off the ride and walk out but it was just in one of the theaters. Really like your content, will definitely be catching up on old stuff and subscribing to see the new stuff, thanks!

I remember when i went to Disney back in 2015, i was 12 years old and me and my parents went to this Stitch attraction. I just remember sitting and being bored out of my mind. I didnt understand why people around me were doing so much noise about, at the end me and my parents just kinda went out like "thats the attraction 😐 ?"

Unfortunately The death of a lot of these theme park rides the one alien and the stitch Great escape, it's mostly oversensitive impossible to please people... That ride's been that long enough that everyone should know about it and the fact that they toned it down and made it more family friendly should have silenced all the detractors but as we can see that isn't the case

One exhibit that we always enjoyed in Innoventions was The Great American Pizza Game. It was a game where the audience was split into two teams. A full map of the USA was shown with products that could be used to make/top pizzas (wheat, tomatoes, onions, pepperoni, etc.). Two members on the same team had to pick two states that had at least one of the products in common. It was simple but it didn't take long and kept people moving through. Can't remember who sponsored it (want to say it was some council).

Honestly the fact that the original iteration of the land was based on Duckburg gives me food for thought. If there's one thing that has perplexed me its that Disney never went and built a big fully envisioned land based on Duckburg. Especially at Disneyland Paris! Because while the Disney comic books were by the 80's relatively forgotten in the US, in Europe they were one of Disney's strongest assets. And continue to be to this day! EVERYBODY knew and knows about the stories of Donald Duck, Scrooge Mc Duck, and everyone else and the iconic locations in Duckburg like Scrooge's money bin. Heck, Donald Duck has for decades been a more iconic character in Europe than Mickey Mouse has ever been! And the stories here are certainly far more well known in their comic iterations than either of the 2 Ducktales shows. Having a Duckburg land for Disneyland Paris as a local counter to Toontown especially would've been a no brainer but for some weird reason Disney has never capitalised on it. Even as you'll find TV clips of Duck comic artists like Carl Barks arriving into Europe for the first time and going from a nobody in the US to a beloved superstar in European countries like Denmark! And having something like a dark ride into Scrooges money bin as you'd be in the middle of an attempted heist by the Beagle boys or Magica de Spell would've no doubt been very beloved!

The idea that this would close completely is absurd. Everyone I know who’s been to Disney absolutely adores the current ride, and when walking around the park I’ve seen at least hundreds of people fully decked out in figment merch- which I’ve almost never seen with any other character in Orlando. And figment also has a whole seasonal festival that revolves around him- that’s a pretty big deal.

My family visiting universal in 2019, and it's definitely a charming ride. The technology is very dated and it's not the most exciting or immersive, but it's still honestly kind of cool that there's a ride that hasn't been updated in a long time since it feels a bit like a time capsule.

Until we got Tiana's Rip-Off Adventure, I thought Superstar Limo was King of the Terrible Disney Rides. No... I dare say, taking a fantastic experience and downgrading it to this disaster, is much worse. Now, I truly understand why so many people hated this "Update" to Journey into Imagination. Go figure. Disney failed to learn from Journey into Your Imagination and eventually replaced Splash Mountain with a very unreliable and inferior experience, because reasons.

My wife and I went to Tokyo Disney last year and there's a somewhat similar Stitch attraction there, but it's a completely different experience. There's a live voice actor controlling and voicing the Stitch animatronic and interacting with the audience the whole time. The actor was really good, and all the kids really enjoyed it. Wonder why they didn't try that sort of thing in the US parks.
