One has to change the dynamics of Zionisem. Dynamics of racism was chabged by Dr. King. Dynamic of clonialism was cganged by Ghandi. Dynamics of apatide regime in S. Africa was changed by N. Mandala.

The conversations on Zionism, settlers, resistance, Yasser Arafat and being a Palestinian with emphasis on having an understanding of the narrative and history are the ingredients of very significant dialog and greater awareness.

An early example of multi culturaism not working these people are the scum of the earth all with a chip on their shoulder and that left wing scrubber representing them the Tottenham 3 were all as guilty as hell , the feds as they call them just fucked up the evidence

Divine. Those days were not about anger. They were about hilarious fun, expression, creativity, exhibitionism, saying something, attention. That’s what I remember. We made our outfits out of whatever we could find in charity shops, jumble sales, grannie’s bedroom. We bleached our hair with Dot loo cleaning powder if necessary. Coloured it with food dye because it was 19p.

the irony of Netanyahu saying a Palestinian academic wants to kill him so he won't sit with him, to go on decades later to enact a genocide on Palestinians and target, amongst women, children and healtcare personnel, academics too is too much for me to process.

How prophetic that he says that the fate of Arafat is reflected in the fate of the Palestinian intellectuals and the younger generation. "What happens to him is a very important index as to what's going to happen to the rest of us."

If Salman Rushdie was living in the world of Islam today, he would be dead. Said points a finger at the west without pointing a finger at himself. Said is from the west writes a fictional account of the east, which includes himself in an unexpected and fictional character.

Ah same old equal blame BS. Muslims and Jews are playing the integral part in the building the alleged superiroty of the West as they serve as the reminder of innate white European superiority when compared to oriental despotism and innate stupidity aka. serving as living projection of things European enlightenment hate or see as deficient with themselves. Try reading Masaad's Islam in Liberalism and see how core premise of the Enlightenment as a project is deeply rooted in anti-Semitic and Islamophobic premises. Anti-Semitism for Jews and colonial Orentalism for Muslims same old story.

Everything was fine until it reach the ending. 1. Why would the whole village hate him for no reason? they don't even know him, It doesn't make any sense. 2. Why would he invite so many strangers to his house? doesn't make any sense. The ending was to random and force, I give it a 7.

...is Rushddie more free or more happy today? So talkative!! Gracias Edward Said, excepcional
@psmorgan2542Ай бұрын
This is ominous, Edward Said doesn’t know anything about Islamic fanaticism, Rushdie doesn’t take it seriously, this is 2 years before Hamas’s Charter and 3 years before the Ayatollah’s fatwa on Rushdie.
@JoeHiggins-w9f15 күн бұрын
The connection of Islamic fundamentalism with serving the western imperial interests is uncanny. Like dedicating Rambo III to the brave Afghani people just to invade them 14 short years later in a war against terror? Or Khaled Mahfouz's of BCCI fame involvement in a SAAR Foundation via his lawyer Cherif Sedky lobbying for Muslims to vote for Dubya in 2000? X files stuff man.
@psmorgan2542Ай бұрын
Edward Said is so ignorant on Islamic fundamentalism, practically deluded.

" the supremacist ideology of Imperialism "...? Despite their condemnation of Western Imperialism they both opted to enjoy the benefits of living in the hated " West "..? They could have chosen the Middle East , Africa , India etc . Did anyone ever ask them why they didn't...??
