Hi Christine! If they invite you for that kind of event is because they want YOUR kind of input exactly, not necessarily a very sophisticated one. Also, I totally understand you feeling anxious about that kind of stuff and I would advise you, at least this is my experience, to get comfortable asking immediate natural questions pre-events, like, answering back “great, I’ll go, how many of us will be there?”. At least for me, the more info I have the less anxious I get, even if sometimes the thing turns out to be completely different from what it was told to me, I just adapt. I just don’t like to know nothing, is like the brain doesn’t like uncertainty and when others says “it will be like this or that” the brain just calms down and stops asking “what I am preparing for really?” Haha. Also you can always ask, is very normal, “what will be expecting from me so that just I am prepared?”. Impostor syndrome makes people feel that super natural questions are very out there, when in reality most people ask that kind of stuff all the time! ❤

What a coincidence - I was researching what the best air dry clay is.Sculpd looked pretty cool and I love their lamp kit too. Looking for air dry clay that is less likely to crumble, crack when dry and it allows some detail. I love handbuilding and don't have the time in my life right now to take a traditional ceramics class. Would love to hear your recommendation. I think with you and Asian wear: you have such a chill/light punk/funky style that it makes the Asian wear look like an accent rather than the main look. You also have a style that Asian wear compliments really well rather than being too on the nose. It looks more ‘cool’ instead of formal. Kind of like an Issey Miyake take. I think if you had a style that was like ‘coastal grandma,’ or something too muted it would dominate. But on you it just gives it a unique edge.
