I am looking for hibiscus assorted seeds of this kind to purchase and import to Nairobi Kenya, any leads?
@staciejackson7497Күн бұрын
These are not propagated by seed, so that probably isn’t possible.

Can you please, please, PLEASE do more videos with the history of the plants. It helps understand why they they grow the way they grow and have the needs they have. I'm fascinated by the breeding process of plants. I am even looking for videos on prehistoric vegetation. Now I know I have to move my hibiscus to a sunnier and moist spot. Keep up the great work!

Which kind can grow in suburban Detroit?

Find your usda hardiness zone using your zip code. A Google search will get the info for you. I believe all of these are hardy in your zone.

I have the " like a latte" that's putting on flower show like none other .. In my Sacramento 9b, i do expect them to grow a bit taller.. I look forward to trying the other colors you have, especially the java lava... Can't seem to find them in our green acres nursery or big box store .. my yard is all ☀️, the intense one and your perennials are putting on a show like no other... Thankyou

I got about 8-9 'Denim and Lace' in my zone 9b, Sacramento area garden and simply love them... They have withstood our 110+ degree heat like a champ!! Great info on how to over winter them .Can you pls cover a side by side walkthrough of the red hot poker plants pls...I love the combination of them planted with the Russian sage... Thankyou so much!!

Just planted an Allium cernuum and find that I like the nodding form better than the puffball. The foliage leaves a bit to be desired, but I like that it's a native onion and has that very attractive nodding bloom to it. That's just something you don't see in any garden designs because everyone's fixated on these few puffball varities.

I think just giving them a good layer of winter protection would allow them to be grown in colder zones. When I was a kid, must have been about 12 years old, I grew some crepe myrtle from seed and come late autumn had buried the pots deeply not too far from the cement foundation of the house, come spring they had made it through the winter, now I'm talking zone 3 Canada!

@@alyvincent5984 Have you considered container growing them, if you have a place to overwinter them that is? I could place in my cold storage room where I keep the garden root veggies.

I already liked this plant, but after listening to Tony Avent and Michael Dirr talk about them, I'm in love 🥰 I'm trying multiple cultivars, and I'm growing some from collected seeds too, to see what I get! The leaves last so long in the vase as a foliage

Was seriously waiting on this video for the longest time, thank you very much for the comparisons.
