Just try making a raised bed, {just a couple inches will do the trick} then mix in compost and more importantly "Oil-Dri Quick-Sorb" { in equal parts or Clay- 1prt, Compost- 1prt, Oil-Dri- !/2prt. } This recipe of soil is great for all kinds of plants.
