Installed on a 2023 Hyundai Elantra. Works great but every time I step on the brake pedal, I get a chime and warning message on the dash saying ‘check center brake light’. VERY annoying. It worked fine on my 2022 Veloster N. Wife is angry and wants a solution… 🤔

Yeah those cheap worm clamps are pretty useless at high pressures..they're more for fuel/coolant lines. I still dont know why manufacturers of turbos, charge pipes, intakes, etc, dont heavily BEAD ROLL their edges very much..literally give the clamps something to FORCE or CHOKE the piping with where its nearly impossible to pop off. Then your biggest issue will be under full boost, the expansion of the piping due to so much pressure not allowing the pipe to pop off, and you up your thickness of piping at that point. So...did it work? You should edit the Summary section at the bottom with an "Update: it worked! or Update: oh no, we suck again!" lol

I know this is older, but its still relevant...here's the thing with modding... once you do something major like a fuel upgrade and bigger turbos (pulleys on superchargers also), you lose reliability. Its not because the car's unreliable or the parts you're installing are, its because you're adding major upgrades to a platform that did not have it before. In your case, each set back was due to user installation, we all do it. Rush through an install, cheap out on proper parts, etc... Forget to tighten this, used the wrong type of line or clamp on that, etc... The coupler issue is not the cars fault or the turbo...its a lesson learned... those who've done the kit should note it, the new instructions should be updated and have it be noted in the kit instructions..its a learning curve as more ppl do the same upgrades. Im just now starting my stock K03 removal after having the BNR71 and XDi hpfp in the garage for 7-8 months...i just havent gotten around to it. My biggest concern is the coolant/oil lines, and making sure everything's torqued properly so i dont have any leaks. I'm also concerned going into this (knowing Ill get more boost) is that my cPE exhale kit is so tight and rubbing on the a/c compressor, i have to resolve this... and its popped off once before because its a very tight and slightly too short set up...cPE knows this but doesnt included a longer coupler set, and Ill resolve it likely by buying a longer couple that compensates a few extra inches so it over laps and has zero chance of popping off. I know I'll likely run into issues somewhere doing my datalogs or something, but it wont discourage me from the upgrades ive invested in. Once you get it right, it trumps any negativities you've run into along the way...sometimes you just need to back off for a few days or a week, and forget about the car. Come back with a fresh mind make sure you have read up a bit more, are confident in resolving the issues you were having (have a plan), and give yourself time to do it right. Sorry for the long post, but i was thinking about what you mentioned about would you do it all over again and your wife mentioning the stress its caused you...but in reality you know what issues you ran into and doing it again, you'd be prepared ahead of time. Most of the enthusiasts i know of do not do mods like engine swaps, clutches, or turbo upgrades...they're mostly bolt-on upgrades that require less risk. But once you've completed a difficult upgrade, you have this newfound appreciation for the car and when ppl ask about it, it gives you this 'i love this car' feeling ^_^

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I have done recently this exact problem, only problem I have, is that front high beams does not work (2015+ lights but with a 2013 control unit inside them). I understand that you have switched front lights from 2015+ to 2014 also with its control unit and everything work correctly?

i literally just got this set up...that snap-ring is a pita if you dont have the correct tool/tip thickness. i used those exact same channel lock pliers from Northern Tools.... but i got it on pretty quick once i realized the 'technique' to use XD i havent installed mine onto the car yet, but ive seen you just remove the 2 radiator support bolts..gives you plenty of room to get the pipe in too bad you didnt go over the vacuum line set up and block off plate...for some ppl thats very helpful

factory bpv is a "bypass valve"..it recirculates ALL the air from the built up pressure when you go into boost and let off. The TS/Mountune/etc brands are typically 50/50 bypass and blow off, where they vent 50% of the pressure into the air so you hear that loud "PSSHHHHH"...which is kind of cool at first, but gets annoying. Going BT, there is basically no bypass/bov built in and you need an external one. The HKS sounds really good externally, seems very quiet inside..the Tial is very quiet and 'quick'..like a 'chirp'...HKS has a sweet sound to it like something you'd hear on a Supra or something. Its very expensive for what it is, but I'm looking at this exact kit also since im about to buy a BNR3071 and will need one anyways

Installed mine last night. Such a pain in the ass and required heaps of cutting and dremeling of those extra dabs that fouled with the bumper. After that it fit in easier, and was secured by some screws

BRO. Why are you using a ratchet as a breaker bar?!? 😱 Get a proper breaker bar if you’re going to work on chassis! Get an impact gun and impact sockets! Barring that, pay a real mechanic to do it properly before you hurt yourself or break something out of ignorance!

I had a 14’ ST and for some reason seemed like it had more torque down low and wanted to destroy tires, my 17’ does not seem like that at all, I have to legit really try to roast the tires as where the 14 would very easily break free could this be because of Traction control settings? My 11’ Mustang GT seemed the same way, seemed like it would spin way more and wanted to go compared to my 17 GT. Idk the 14 seemed faster for some reason We’re the gears different in the first gen FoST? My bro has the Tial bov with the cold side pipe and holy crap what a pain to get it in there. A little tip we didn’t know till after scratching the crap out of it and struggling with the clamps and couplings was you can remove bolts on the passenger side radiator mount and you have all the space you need…. Btw I bought my ST with the boomba bov and I don’t mind it, it’s a little loud but everyone always looks So personal preference I guess
