Im glad to find so many people who love the movie. My all time favorite for 20 years, i need to watch it at least once every year, i know the lines, movements of camera, editing, music....perfect movie in so many ways. Bittersweet and so true...

Does anyone actually know why this scene was deleted? My original copy had this scene and the biker scene in it, but you can’t find that version anymore and I have no idea why.

it is a weak scene and glad they deleted it, but still love to see them.

This scene and another when they were at a swimming hole were later deleted, but why? They were in the first copy of the movie that I had and then they were gone. Crazy. I’ve always tried to find the original version but I can’t.

So these aren't stand-in actors? Yeah, thank goodness they kept Marvin McIntyre and why does he look alot like Lee Marvin to me? Hmmmm. Excellent movie too. For sure. In fact, when I meet people, I ask 'em if they've seen Fandango. If they said yes, but it didn't hit them in a very personal place, I tend to think something's wrong with them. Right on, Groovers!

I saw this movie attending University of Texas when it showed on Cable TV in 1986. Wished i had done a trip like they did. Bri gs back many memories...wish i was at that age again!!
