What's with the course-cutting? Do these riders get disqualified? Do they all have go-pro-s?
@dirttdude5 күн бұрын
you totally choked because your entire upper body was completely spent. you can go to the gym but just working your grip, arms and shoulders twice a week at home will probably be enough. i used have them chop cordwood with a splitting maul because it really strengthens the grip. For every minute of pro level point to point racing you need a couple hours of 'conditioning' i used to help them with dietary 'tricks' too
@olivierbruwiere5 күн бұрын
The funny thing is that I already did more then 20 of these races. I even won this one. I’m doing some work of the bike. This was the first time I had trouble on this level. That’s why I think it has some other explanation.

Slt. Bel exploit

It amazes me how you guy’s manage to follow the correct route, if this was me I would end up 20 miles away from the finish line in the next village 😂

It’s mad how many track cutters were seen just from this video. Pathetic. Complete lack of any kind of sportsmanship. Can only hope this is not a race that grants points for season standings.

Hello Olivier! It's always good to write to you again. And I finally got the time and peace of mind to see your race. Man...I've said it to you before and I'll say it again: What a set of legs and lungs you have, my young belgian! My God, you're a monster man! And this race...La Reunion...I think this is the hardest avalanche race there is. It's a relentless, always on, enduro race with tons of tricky details and always asking to keep a kind of pace that seems, to me, almost destructive for anyone who pedals a 15kgs bike with this kind of tires. How you managed to take "that piece of green scenery" that was stuck on your cassete, without loosing too much time or crashing is also beyond me...What an athlete you are, my friend. But in the end...Is Hugo eating Popeye's Spinach?!?! Is he actually able to not win any race that he competes in? It seems not...He's on the best shape of his life, that frenchman. Even so, congratulations are in order! You raced a fabulous race and left 99,99% of the field left for dead! And that is, as always with you, incredibly admirable and amazing! Really good job Olivier. I'm starting the first hours of 2025 in a good way, watching you race is always a privilege! I hope that you read this and that it reaches you "with a massive hangover from celebrating your entering this new year!!!" Happy New Year Olivier! May you be healthy, wealthy and lucky! All the very best to you, from Coimbra, Portugal!

can someone explain. the guy in the white shirt (14:21), is he a participant in this race? why did Bron's counter count him as a participant? if he is a participant, how did he end up ahead of the top three?
I saw this guy in a red helmet who immediately took a right turn on the rocks and won the first third. It seems he knew the track better than anyone and got into the top ten? I think the two big races in the Alps should be held earlier, in June
