@@dawayalla i think n52 is pretty reliable, mine has 340k km at the moment and from 200k km i had only one major repair, it was timing chain and vanos gear replacement and it goes like new till this day. I cant say anything about n53. Only difference i know about n52 and n53 that n53 has direct port inject and unlike n52 it cant have regular lpg system, witch is a big plus to n52 cause its super econimical with lpg, like 1.9 tdi by costs of comute, and i have driven it with lpg for more than 100k km without any issues except maintenance of lpg system and few components replacment

@ thanks mate, I appreciate your prompt response. Basically it’s hard to find n52 in a place where I live (Poland) as it was quite popular in USA. N53 are easier to find here. I’m simply fed up with n47 diesel which works like a tractor.

@ was it better cost-wise than any European one could have been? I’ve heard positive opinions about BMW cars from USA. Some minor damage which could be easily fixed, and it’s supposedly a little cheaper than buying in Europe?

@@testdrivespov I have a US-Spec 2011 528i (although not as nicely specced 😅). But they detuned the engine to only 240PS for our market. I wonder if you have a higher-power version (ie. 255PS). If so, I will flash my car with the software of Asia Pacific/ Middle Eastern 528i for more power.

How many experts here. There was a simple run, no intentions to ilustrate max performance, witch this vehicle is not about. Also it doesnt has launch control so with that brake hold and rpm raise you just give uneccesary load for a transmission of vehicle witch is not meant to get. Its a 528, relax, and before giving educational speeches next time just think twice and maybe just dont write anything

​@@RED-Saint1911the engine is cut off at 7000rpm so it should not hurt when you go too far. He says that the guy couldhave shifted later for faster acceleration

Well, its not coolant temperature being indicated, but oil. If its minus degree and you drive around the city cruising, not reving it, then its not easy going to get the needle in the midlle. If you would put your glasses on, you would see its lifted up, so its warm enough

Android, its early f10, manufacture date 2010-07 so not worth to retrofit nbt, a lot of needs to be changed

@@ProjectRox if its later 2011 f10, dont remember specific date, then its easy replacement to nbt. If its early, like mine 2010, then its lots of work. Dont remember specifics but there are lots of info on web. I like my android, much more functional than cic

As far as i know the facelift 525d has weaker hydrotransformator than 530d, while prefacelift 525d has same as 530d, so facelift 525d may have risk of failure with higher torque. But im no specialist

For me it seems as very reliaable car. And very cheap to drive being LPG converted. Cant justify swaping it for anything better at the moment

Did the car ever left you stranded? that's my main fear, more looking into E60/E90, fuel seems decent on the highway, about 9-10l/100km which is not bad for the power you get, I reckon that in your car with the 8 speed auto you can even get 7l/100km no sweat

@@GamingHistory. its 4th year now of ownership, drove about 110k km +-. The biggest repair i had was vanos replacement. Other than that was casual maintenance and wearable elements replacement, like pads, discs, some chassis parts and ect. Since its with Lpg i dont monitor consumption at all, but it should be 7-8l on the highway and 11-13l in the city when driving normal. Was thinking to upgrade to g30 but i think i will drive it further till she doesnt requres any major repairs

@@testdrivespov im buying the same car and also planning to convert it to lpg too. This engine suits lpg very very well and in my country it costs 700-800 euros to install a very good lpg system
