So I keep trying to do the text highlight portion, but every time I follow along I am left with one letter on the end that does not do what the other letters are doing and I keep getting caught up there. Also my text is not a shape could that be an issue? I tried using it as an outline also as I saw in the video yours is listed as a compound shape, which I cannot seem to get my text to convert to. Love the video so I'm getting frustrated tying to fix this 🥲

I appreciate when people take the time to make these videos. I was super interested in your workflow. Some things that turned me off from learning from this video; redundant music, that god awful clicking sound, the lack of narration, the pacing is too fast especially without any direction. All of this being said I am offering the criticism because I think you have some incredible knowledge to share and for me these where the things that got in the way.

Awesome I recently saw some images of these Hofmann's Tangents and found they'd be perfect for the new branding of a client of mine who does pulleys and belt drives for industrial conveyors but I had no idea they have a name and now you publish this video! Fantastic timing for me! Thanks!!!

I wish there was some type of talking. I tried to follow along, but when i hit 3 mins for the shape builder.. all it does is change the colors of the balls, no fill happens in the white.

that's just the basics of the Shape builder tool, to combine objects you just need to click and drag in the area of two or more objects

Hello, item size in % of total size. If you have 1000*1000 pt object to fill and you Set Max 8% it mean max size of filler object will 8% of 1000 = 80pt

Olá, sou do Brasil e achei seu canal por acaso. Muito bom os efeitos de texto no illustrator, mesmo não tendo como legendar o vídeo consegui acompanhar com tranquilidade e clareza (deferentes de muitos tutoriais que vejo por aí) e entender os passos que fizestes, pois o vídeo vai devagar o que ajuda muito no entendimento. I have a tipp to add: After rasterizing and applying "make and expand" the smaller dots get distorted. You can adjust that through the control panel of the "image trace" tool (move path regulator to the right)

Yes, maybe that's a bit of a misunderstanding. what I meant by creating the OFFSET Action, you can create the effect in just 1 click. I just didn't find a catchy title for it 🥲
