I got a pattern for a self build windmill and wonder what I would really need to aerate my little over 5 thousand gallon pond . I can only find info on a large pond . I got the wood and started building the windmill yesterday . I ordered the top from a company that gave me the free plans also for the windmill build .

Nice info! May I ask can I use the activated carbon pallets for aquarium use? I have a container at home and would like to use it for the springtails! Thanks in advance

I leeched mine in a cheap kiddie pool.. much easier to drain and refill. A lot less mess too.

the set up looks beautiful, but this species needs more room to burrow, so I don't recommend the layer of leca. if the leca is for humidity I recommend looking into live moss.

My original culture that I got today came on a soil mix though. How do I get them into the charcoal set up so I can breed more if they are currently on soil? Can I just add them with the soil? ❤

Did he breed the large menerambo? Cause i think there have not been f1 fish since the late 90s and considering they are almost extinct in the wild . This fish could provide valuable genes into the Aquarium population and help against inbreeding

Just got my first group of this strain of goodeid. Ive been eyeballing goodeids for years and originally wanted the "tequila split fin", I'm honestly glad that this was the species i got first! Love the iridescent sheen and bright tail!

I've got a good size leech in the shrimp tank. He doesn't seem to bother anyone. Detritus eater I think. I like watching it.

I'm glad you mentioned the Iris tubs, I was looking on Amazon and noticed the 'Mark 4' versions didn't say 'airtight' unlike the Iris. So I've put those in my basket. I wasn't sure how deep I'd want them but I can see yours aren't really deep. Thanks.

I've had this state of thought with my isopods for nearly a year now. I've been making changes to certain types like soil depth, ventilation variations, also noticed different dietary needs for different types ( porcellio is more protein driven, Armadillidium is more vegetation etc.) I have noticed quite a bit of difference in my colonies since making these changes. I will definitely continue to educate myself on more natural keeping habits for these amazing little critters and continue to improve my keeping skills.

@@Moon-om8do Anything with quartz in it to be honest. A splash of vinegar here and there couldint hurt either. I use it on the garden all the time.

0:01 *OMG MUTE! MUTE! MUTE!!!* Another youtuber with a "modern" taste in music.. _Was_ my reaction anyway.. Maybe a more subtle tune for into? Or at least less bass. These are not the kind of videos i am watching when getting in a party mood. And so many youtubers are just playing a stressful beat all the way through, so kinda habit to hit the M-key at the first or second beat just saying, maybe a few views could get lost for this reason.. So much "garbage" on yt that a 1-2 seconds judgement of the video becomes more and more necessary(also cuz a title most often is a "clickbait-title" even if its a serious video, so one have to click the video to judge if this is 'worth my time'. @youtube-team I think an upload-charge would solve the problem; with so many videos that its hard to get a proper search result, just clickbait. Yt will die in the end if more and more Bull*it fills up the servers..
