One question what is the best alternative to mid Brown? Strong skin Shade or Dark skin shade? I think they are the most similar, can u confirm? And nice video, ty

The mid brown has a bit more red tone to it and the strong skin shade is more yellow, but they are close :-)

Thank you for that video. I´m glad to hear that you will paint all the frations. Didt you also back the expansion? And btw, such a good idea to show all the used coloures in the top space of the screen, i use your videos as a tutorial and that makes it much easier for me.

Hey, i wonder, why to use black primer from bellow if you paint minis grey later?
@olebroggerАй бұрын
it is to get the darkest shadows. i only paint the grey from the top, so they are still black from below. it enhances the effect of the shadow areas

Love how they turned out, love this series as I backed the board game and have all these factions, gives me a huge amount of inspiration! Just an idea for painting gold: I usually use Flesh Wash from Army Painter on gold, it gives such a nice, warm feel to it, and it actually doesn't dull it down as much as a Strong or Dark Tone. I highly recommend trying this wash on gold, that became my go-to metchod for it!

Hello OleBrogger ! I backed the board game, came upon your channel, and you really gave me the motivation to paint all factions :) But since I didn't paint any figures since +- 15 years when I was at school, I have to start from scratch. So I just have two small questions : first about primering : Do you thing that results could be as impressive as yours while using primer rattle cans like you explained in the video (matt black from below, grey from top & matt white lightly from above) before applying speedpaints ? And do you recommend applying some final varnish on the miniatures to protect the paint, as they will be manipulated a lot during play ? Thanks again for your awesome videos (and I'm patiently waiting for your next factions :D )
@olebroggerАй бұрын
Hi, and thank you for stopping by :-) You can easily use rattle cans for priming, just dont buy cheap stuff, and make sure you use a matt primer. Use black from below and a light or mid Grey from top. you can also just use a Grey primer only and drybrush with white at the end. that is a lot easier to do. The speedpaints will make the shadow areas for you and you don't need the black as a deep shadow. Speedpaints will do the job for you here. I never varnish my minis. the reason why is that i could never find a varnish that did not have a gloss or silky effect. i like my minis with a totally matt finish. Next Faction video will land this upcoming weekend i hope :-)
