The wooden cross pieces under the rails are called "ties," or less commonly, "sleepers." "Sleepers" was the original term for mining railway ties and is still used in the mining industry.

Thank you for sortering that out, i just found so many words for it. In danish there is only one word. But i think in english it depends on what english speaking countries they are from. I found them called sleepers, tie, crosstie, crossbar and bearers. But think sleepers is the most common used word in US and in UK i think it is most common to call them bearers. English is not my native language so sometimes i have to look up what things are called in english😀

Nice work but I did cringe when you cut the sticks with your mini table saw
