It didn't look, to me, like much effort went into that crank "polish". Just wiped it off with a 2000 grit rag

Also, good video! I didn't think I could bleed a system like that. I am going to try that for the brakes on my own car now, and see if I can get the air out of the master cylinder.

That aluminum plate inside the intake manifold is an attempt to enhance the low rpm torque. To make it behave more like a dual plane manifold. I wouldn't throw that divider plate out if you're planning on using that manifold. It might make a noticeable difference in the low-speed driveability. I found one once in a V8 Vega i bought. It had an old Holley single plane manifold. That car drove a lot better with the plate than without it.

That timing set is not original original cam gear was aluminum with nylon teeth you broke those piston rings because you need to take the ridge at the top of cylinder before you pound the pistons out and fuel pump rod needs to be removed for the cam. To come out. You haven't taken to many engines apart

5500 rpm 500hp potential build with roller tip rockers... I REALLY NEED HELP WITH THIS IM BUILDING... do i need "roller rocker" studs for a roller tip rocker or can i use regular studs(if there's even a difference?). love your walkthrough content, just found you and already have faith in your opinion

When your blower is big enough to be a desk it sit to high bc the engines to tall so you can’t see the computer 😅😂
@wewillsurviveone17 күн бұрын
But Lord why did you spend all that money to run throttle body injection? Was there no other option with that super charger? Because that would of been make it or break it for that super charger for me personally. I feel if you run throttle body injection you might as well run carbs because it's no better other than a tiny bit easier to tune
@diveingarage17 күн бұрын
With this converted 6-71 it needs fuel above the rotors to help lubricate them. So it was either carb or the snipers/tbi setup. They definitely make blowers with fuel injectors in the case and even some with injector rails. Gotta run what you got!
@wewillsurviveone17 күн бұрын
@diveingarage gotcha. No, I know that's what top fuel runs. I meant more like you couldn't get port injection fitted under the blower. But they run all sorts of roots style blowers dry. I thought that's what the Teflon rotor tips were for? Or are those style of roots blowers that run dry just completely different vanes and seals, whatnot. Or is it just at a certain boost level they have to be wet then? That just added another reason why I would go turbo tho, lol. I know it never looks as cool or sounds as cool as the big blower with the fake injector scoop (bug catcher) on top but turbos just make so much more power and can keep efficiency up
@diveingarage17 күн бұрын
Yup you got it. This is a non-stripped blower. So no Teflon on the rotors. Ha yeah for this build a blower seemed right. Next time will have to go turbo!
@wewillsurviveone17 күн бұрын
@diveingarage yeah, they all gotta be done with the correct spirit to the vehicle. A Honda Civic with a big blower would just look silly. Then a 32 Ford coupe with turbos would look silly all the same

@diveingarage17 күн бұрын
I hear ya. Making the choice to go efi wasn't one I took lightly. Ive been all carburetor for years, nothing against em. I wanted the computer to sort of watch my back with this build and it's been doing exactly that. After using the Holley software I'm happy to report it's a good move for any carbureted engine.

Cool build! You may have issues with your 'vacuum signal' ports'. They wont see load under the carbs like they would NA. The vacuum only increases with engine load instead of the other way around with a blower

For as stockish engine distributor? The parts store, then you get a warranty. If it's built and you're pushing 5k rpm go with MSD/Holley. High performance, DUI.

Acdelco copper plugs you just have to use a heat shield around the ends of the spark-plug wires. Test the non-resistor type Acdelco spark plugs with an ohm meter and they have less resistance than any after marker plug I could find.

I got a problem it's only blowing cold air on the passenger side but it isnt cold cold and driver side just normal or room temp. Got the blend door fixed and it either was bad or broke when getting to it. Now gotta try some of this stuff. It was blow hot air so I'm thinking just low on refrigerant. 2015 2ss camaro. Also my headlight hid bulb I replaced one and it doesn't seem all that bright like it used to be so I'm hoping I don't have an electrical issue causing maybe both problems. My battery reads fine so it's not that
@diveingarage28 күн бұрын
Go through these steps and check the refrigerant charge. Easy with a gauge kit from the parts store. As for the headlight bulb, did you try to reaim it?
