This is the neatest star stitch that I've seen. Edges look great.

I absolutely love your clear instructions in this tutorial - so thank you so much for creating it for us! I haven't started my project as yet - but, with thanks to your fabulous tutorial, I have decided this is the stitch. My question ... I am making a cushion cover, and wanting to put a contrasting coloured border on ... how would I go about this? How would you border the star stitch on a blanket or a cushion cover so that it links in with the stitch counts etc best..? Thanks again :)

I"m not sure what i'm doing wrong, can someone please help? i've been following this method but still getting leaning, only this time towards the end of the row not the beginning.

Great tutorial. I will be using this to cover some pillows that don't match my couch. It's a nice, dense stitch with interesting but not distracting texture, which is just what I want. Thanks for making it so easy to learn and follow!

I am not sure what I am or am not doing wrong.. I tried a different pattern and it left a big gap at tail. Tried with your stitch count and ended up with another extra chain. Combined the two by using odd number chain and the count worked out perfectly to use your method at the end of first row to get no big gaps. Only thing I can think of is I'm not counting to the second stitch from hook in the correct way when I'm starting the first row.. 🤷🤷

I think it has to do with working in the back loop. I tried several times not working into the back loop (bc I don’t like the back loop on the foundation row). Every time I worked it into the side loop as she calls it, I ended up with an extra chain as well. I forced myself to do it again and work into the back loop 😅 and it worked exactly as hers and with no extra chain at the end.

Hi do you have an invisible method for crocheting a flat round with an invisible join but stitching forward then reversing in single stitch please?
@squishyandco6 ай бұрын
Hi there! Do you mean turning your work and going back around, or an actual reverse single crochet (aka crab stitch)?
@gillianfawkes6 ай бұрын
@@squishyandco you work from beginning of the round to the end, turn your work and work the next round if that makes sense

@@squishyandco Sorry I do mean that I crochet single crochet to the end of the round, join somehow, turn my work and go back the way I came but without the horrible line that a slip stitch join and turning chain makes,

Unfortunately I bought soft touch and I hate them for dropping the stitches - doesn't matter whether the yarn is thick or thin. They are also very light and form me it's a big no. For 'pen' crocheters this feature may be helpful.

hi i am trying this tip. However, why do you have to squeeze in 2 stitches in that last stitch? I had started a hat but I don't see that I need to do that part. Or I will have too many stitches.
