Hello Jesse, gosh it really is a long time since I was last off on an adventure. Japan is still a high light. I hope all is well with you. From a distance I'm watching & listening to news of your area, especially the elections & have fingers crossed for a positive outcome. Fyi - there will be more floral content coming soon. I'm in the midst of house renovations which have taken hold. What was to be a bathroom redo, has turned into a massive 'blow out'. Mold, rot, decaying walls, floors etc. The list goes out & to speed things up, I've been the free labour. I might be over sanding & painting! I'll see you soon with economical ways to enhance & enrich lives & homes. Very warm regards Astar

I also wanted to add to the comment below. A large number of the population in the U.S. is aging and downsizing. They do not have room for large floral arrangements. I think the smaller arrangements for bedside and window sills would be appropriate for this population. They also do not have room for much loved figurines sitting on shelves and gathering dust any longer. Small floral arrangements incorporating favorites would be ideal...an loved dog or cat figurine, a porcelain squirrel to remind someone of their home in the woods, antique Christmas ornament from family gatherings. I know you could do a fantastic job of putting arrangements like this together and teaching the rest of us as well. Thanks so much!

for the conditioner- do you spray it around the roots or ends, or both? Do you rinse the conditioner? I have been using redken for years, I am also eliminating chemicals from our household. I am used to having to wash my hair daily (when I was a teen I only had to wash every few days) I am hoping I might be able to cut back how often I have to wash with this recipe :)

They didn’t tell us what kind of paint she is using ???is it acrylic??? Is it enamel ??? Does it use any fabric softener??? Is she using a specific paint for fabric only???😢😢😢
@AstarsPlace10 күн бұрын
Hi there, we used Annie's chalk paint (www.anniesloan.com) - which is flat water based arcylic paint. It is watered down & tints up the fabric. We didn't use any fabric softener. You can seal with a clear wax, but I didn't bother. The finished effect is very soft & long wearing. I still love & adore what we achieved. Hope this helps. Warm regards Astar

Beautiful, wouldnt the oil soak through the cork if it was to tip over? If using a screw top whay type of top would you recommend?

Hello, I used the cork because authentically that's what is used. I was going to wax seal the cork & further embellish but time run away on me. I suppose any screw top would work as a means of keeping it sealed. Hope this helps? Warm regards Astar

Virginia, that's an easy question to answer. I love ballet & do 2 classes a week. I love Taichi & Qigong & do 2 to 3 classes a week. I love Karate & do 2 classes a week. A bit of hard work in the flower/vegetable garden never goes a miss & tbh the secret of all secrets is NO SUGAR. + on Sunday I just walk. & I almost forgot to mention the Rebounder. It's fantastic. I figure if it's good enough for astronauts who need building up after months in space, then its excellent for an earth bound being like me. Did I help? Warm regards Astar PS: I think just moving is good for everyone.

I may be a bit late to the party, I have a pair of similar chairs, I kept the original old off- white frame wood finish, but distressed with paint remover and it blended marvelously with new fabric. BTW, I spent $ 900.00 on reupholstery just for one chair ! This was years ago. Had I known, I would have just painted the fabric with this paint !!!

Jesse, what did we do before the invention of the wonderful hot glue gun? That's right, wiring and I have the fingers and hands to prove it, but these days anything I can do to avoid further damage, then I leap at it. Hi Susan, isn't the print amazing? I love it. We are just in the midst of a major renovation of our home. It's a major project all to 'age-proof' the house for the last good 21 summers and the theme is 'botanicals'. This particular image dropped into sight as I was looking for prints of illustrated orchids, and I just couldn't resist the urge to embellish the vase. The design created, patiently waits to reign supremely in the lounge - once the dust settles. Have I found the illustrated orchid prints? NO, but the hunt continues. Very warm regards Astar
@susanlindadalton128724 күн бұрын
@@AstarsPlace The renovation sounds interesting but always a lot of work. We are just decorating various rooms and that is work but nice when everything has a fresh look. I am a big lover of artificial flowers, I like to mix with real too. I find green and white is a clean but also an elegant look. I wish I could find some bigger foliage like yours.
