I have a Savage Model 24c. It’s a single shot combination gun with a .22lr barrel over a 20 gauge. Great little camp/woods gun.

Why do you need a .22 and a shotgun when the shotgun occupies the same roles as a 22 does but can also swap between bird shot, buck shot, slugs, flares, blanks and incendiarys? (Plus you don't look stupid carrying a squirrel gun into bear/moose country)

Nice seeing others who enjoy the single thumpers. I can't say enough good stuff about the 219's, the interchangeability of barrels is 1st. I have a .22 hornet, a 30/30, a 30/40 Krag, a .357 mag and a .410 & 20 Ga barrels. Made myself a roll-up leather go scabbard, sling it and i can shoot anything from red squirrels (357 #9 shot rounds) around camp. To grouse/rabbit, fox/coyote, deer/bear or moose w/a 200gr Krag round. 2nd is they are Hammerless! Can't emphasise this enough, the NEF & Baikal are great but i can't stand their hammer design. Happy huntin 🦌

I have my dads first 22 single shot. Its a Springfield that he paid $5 for out of a mail order catalog. He paid for it from trapping pocket gophers for bounty of 5 cents per gopher? Its my most cherished possession along with a single shot 410 my grand father won on a punch board many many years ago!!! I like you choices on the guns!!!

My H&R handi-rifle in 35 Whelen has been very reliable and accurate for the $240 purchase. I practice st 400yds with it and have harvested deer over 300yds using factory hornady 200gr.

Always wanted a Whelen. ! I ha e a .44 Mag. I carry for outings . A 12 gauge single with a .38/.357 insert would seem ideal.

@@rudygeorgiamulesandcountry1594 I have a combo, one barrel is .30-30, the other is 20-gauge. I would've liked 12 gauge, but this combo wasn't made with 12, and it was a crazy deal.

Awesome video! This is the best tent set up imho. Lots of room to move around nice and warm. What kind of burn times are you getting out of that square stove? I’m thinking the home built 20lb propane tank stove has more heat out put and longer burn times. I was a little bummed out about summer almost being over and this video has me a bit wound up for winter now. I figured that looked like Alberta country then I heard Burnt Timber.
@lundriganoutdoors8687
@lundriganoutdoors8687 Жыл бұрын
When I pack the stove and close the vents ill get 3 hours or so. I try to burn hard woods through the night. This is my favorite way to camp in winter. Keeping it warm at night entices the family to go as well. The only problem with propane is the moisture, especially when its cold. Alberta County 100%

Parents had one of these when I was a kid. It was my job to fill that tank with kerosene! I don’t remember any smell from it at all, but man don’t keep the doors closed and spend a long time in the same room as it. The carbon monoxide levels used to make us so sleepy- lucky we didn’t die in retrospect. Fine for a whole house or to heat a level- just don’t box yourself up into the same room
