You’ll fuckin love those soft armor pieces if you ever get blown up and one of them saves you from taking a chunk of metal to your dangly bits or shoulder. Everything is dependent on mission. If your top concern is your IOTV looking cool, your priorities are fucked. My main concern is protecting myself from taking damage. I configure my DAPS so I can shoulder my weapon and I think if the bottom flaps bother your back you’re a PUSSY.

8 mags generally isn't excessive, that's like 5 to 10 minutes of fire and maneuver.
@LegionPreparedness6 күн бұрын
That sounds like a conventional answer, when you probably could probably just conduct better training. That said we're just discussing the taps setup and the front of your kit, and streamlining it to enable you to enhance your ability to fire and manuever. If you want more mags put them on your back or in a pack. We're here to help conventional guys streamline their kit that way they are exerting themselves to the point of failure.

@LegionPreparedness Very informational again, thanks! What are your thoughts on the ferro concepts fcpc v5? I've been using the jpc forever, thinking of "upgrading" ? I know this is a older video, but if I'm already here, might aswell ask these: Your opinion on high risers on rifles? Will you be making any gun setup related videos on the future? When will you return and share your knowledge? Thanks ahead and I wish you well :)
@LegionPreparedness6 күн бұрын
I bought a FCPC V5 a couple months back and have been using it alot! I highly recommend it and to be honest it will probably be the plate carrier that I setup as a national baseline / standard for interoperability. As far as risers go I would recommend the 1.93" risers unless you have a long neck. I've found the 1.93 is really good for short and mid height individuals and the 2+" is great for tall and long neck individual. In short buy the mount that is the most comfortable for your body and feels the most natural. I will be making gun setup videos in the future but they will be on the Legion Website and maybe a short on the new channel that I am starting called SF Underground. Check out the Legion Preparedness & 2025 Video that we just dropped

@Legion Preparedness What's your opinion on True North Concepts modular holster adapter? Any personal use and thoughts. How does it compare against the Safariland? Thanks :)
@LegionPreparedness2 ай бұрын
@@danielney6 I think it’s a really cool product and is incredibly versatile. However, it doesn’t work well for me. I’m not a fan of the fit, feel, belt and leg strap attachment methods, and it feels like it restricts movement for me compared to the safariland. It works for a lot of people which is awesome. But I honestly prefer the safariland.

I like the mesh-covered bnc cable. It allows some movement of the cable in service loops. Ideally, we should have molle clips that help create strain reliefs to isolate the connectors at the radio and antenna base. I broke the connector at the base of the antenna using the raptor tactical mount while rolling over from a prone position. There is also a lack of understanding of service loops and strain relief methods to avoid excessive tensile strain on the connectors. None of the solutions protect the antenna base or base connector from radial loads and usually break on the first mishap. It is important to keep comms up.

The antennas and cables shouldn't snap or break. These pouches are not rigid enough to protect your antenna or bnc cable connector. A fall backwards or even sitting down will snap ghat antenna sma connector.
