Its a good idea to learn how to sew . I do all my repairs , uprades ect my self with just a needle and thread and have had no issues and been able to add extra molle webbing amd straps to modify my set ups

Do you run mbav soft armor under your plate or just a stand alone plate? What soft armor do you run if so?

It doesn't look like it's very good. I don't want to struggle getting my multitool resecured. I'm getting less interested in Blue Force Gear with every review I watch.

Are the bottom 2 rows of molle still usable?
@LegionPreparedness22 күн бұрын
In what regard, what are you trying to do and are we talking front plate bag, or rear plate bag?
@guyonanapp21 күн бұрын
@@LegionPreparedness sorry, should have specified that I'm asking about the rear plate bag. Is it possible to apply the cumberbund under the molle to free up those bottom rows or does it need to weave through the molle?

I was issued a gen 1 when they first came out for my Iraq deployment in 2009. They were a MAJOR improvement over the IBA/OTV, Even with all the attachments. I was a turret gunner and luckily my unit didn’t make us wear the DAPS or the armpit protectors but I don’t understand the hate for the Yoke and collar. What is choking about it? Lol

Defense Mechanisms makes a counterweight similar in design to the TNVC but with a retention system like the Ferro where you can attach them to the rear side rail bolts. I got their counterweight battery pouch and then just ordered a PVS-31 battery one because now I’m switching to binos.

Just got one and its a great little pack. I use it for EDC stuff, fits card wallet, cash keys etc in the outside compartments, Inside the main compartment, into the elasticised keepers and sleeve compartments go flashlight, varios chargers and cables, a SAK, 2 x spare single stack magazines and surgical gloves a hyfin chest seal and a tourniquet with a second tourniquest in the tunnel at the rear. I don't believe in carrying firearms off-body so very rarely do that, and then I use a larger pack and this one goes into that too.

With so many pouches, and likely an aid bag on top of that, I’m curious how much Class 8 you’d intend to carry on your person. CCP gear in the FLC and an aid bag are great, but I would think any Class 8 beyond that would be covered by the Bs’ IFAKs, PLT CLS bags and WALKs.

Would you mind supplying to the two links for the cummerbund that you’re talking about? I’ve thought about running a hard structured one, but I just don’t know what would be best to integrate with the MSV.

Great review! I have the MSV myself and have done some upgrades to fit my needs. What I like about your videos is that your not afraid to show the cheaper airsoft pouches alot of people forget that some soldier just don’t have the money to spend on big name brand gear but good cheaper alternatives that are enough to be durable and not to break the bank. Also easy to replace if it gets messed up in the field. Great work keep it up!

@@LegionPreparedness I’ve tried to get my hands on a tmc back panel but it seems that they’ve stopped producing it in multi cam. I might try shekkin gears since it looks super accurate.

This isnt just for noise discipline IMO. Having to spread that flap open and closed all the time if youre using that pocket a lot is a pain in the ass. Especially up there. I use one of these on my the upper bib of my TT Mk2, and the big one on the lower kangaroo portion and its an amazing quality of life improvement

I like to run the slick internal carrier with a cheap elastic cummerbund. My unit requires side plates so I kept the original cummerbund attached to the front plate bag, kind of like the blue force gear plate6 and folded the excess around the side plate bags. Only down side is the hook and loop is horrible, when worn it has enough tension to not matter though.
@devincooper87393 ай бұрын
As someone who is running an MSV with the Arbor arms cummberbund there is no issue with the elasitc and holding side plates. They keep them tight to my sides but still allow the carrier to breath and move with me. Overall its an excellent quality of life upgrade!
