Look, this is a great set, but let's take a minute to appreciate this audience. They just sat there and shut the fuck up to actually enjoy the music. This should be the gold standard at which parents aim to raise their kids.

Anyone else just seen the northern lights for the first time in their hometown in Essex and immediately come to find this performance because your heart just needed it cos it was gonna exploded? Just me then.

Loved this show when is aired. One of ACL's best. 46:05 Golden. ...We'll go through this together... If you just preserve that voice And follow its inspiration ...then we'll all be millionaires. And on Heaven's Golden shore we'll lay our heads.

These four gentlemen were a very big part of a personal evolution in my early 20's. This is the music that made me the person I am today. A person that I can love. I am forever grateful for the gift that they shared with us. I continue to share it with my kids. Please do the same. May you all find your peace, love, and be loved. ✌️❤️

This man. I was an arrogant artist. I was a proud artist. I thought I had it. My ex (when she was just one of my best friends) handed me a copy of Lifted right after it was released. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I immediately bought it and a 3rd press copy of Fevers and Mirrors (was a very valuable before record store day). I couldn’t write at all for almost a year. I couldn’t believe someone could write so brilliantly. Every word was amazing. I didn’t think I had anything to say after hearing it. My roommate and I used to put that record on (Lifted), smoke, drink, and just get lost in it. He said, “all four sides of this record is it’s own thing, each just building on the last part, probably the best four sided record ever”. Man. I’d love to go back for a day. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. My god. Where did it go?

2005 was an amazing year for indie music. To this day the best album of that year is the album i listened to last; Sufjan Stevens-Illinois or I'm Wide Awake It's Morning by Bright Eyes. Both are damn perfect.
