Hello, do you think 400w strobe is also ok to do it with umbrella or would you use smaller softbox? And size of christmas lights is also important here, right? i just cant do same with small led lights, it is just not enough light to see christmas tree, only few light spots in the darkness..

I love your videos. They are so helpful! Can you do a video on how to actually do the settings on the speed lights? I shoot with canon and use Yungnuo speed lights I have read the instructions many times and get so lost!

Exposing for the sky when looking true the lens means you point next to your subject and dial in your settings. Then point to your subject, focus....take the shot? Or is it focus to your subject and dial in so you look to the sky?

Thanks for this video. I was surprised you used the speedlight outdoors as I thought the light sourse outside had to be stronger. I'm a pet photographer so this would be harder without an assistant. What woykd you recommend to start with if it wasn't a speedlight? I don't want to 'waste' money on a speedlight speedlight if I had to upgrade a short time later?

Still here! Shutter speed is definitely something I need to practice because I want to and have been working with a lot of kids. My images have been really blurry a lot of the time with them so I'm excited to see how I can change that.
