This guy easily has 50-80k under the hood. I understand why a shop would do it but im always amazed people will do this for their own with little benefit other than gaining clout. I personally would never dump that kind of money under the hood of a bmw or an infiniti and i own both a 540i and a g37 coupe. With 80k i'd rather buy a completely different higher level chassis like a Mclaren

The only way I trust those infinitis are fully building them too and bottom cause buying the car when they already have issues stock over time and assuming one’s buying it used and worst if new to then do a ear down to fully building so it can last a decent amount of time yeah that’s costly I think I’d rather build like a awd 500hp Honda civic hatch and be able to have it 6 speed manual to make it more fun and nowhere near as costly and easier to work on yourself for a lot of things versus these infinitis I wouldn’t want to touch cause way too many electronics

​​im surprised about the torque. it seems limited like you said , and should have an easy 100+ Lbft more to it . mine made 809 and 724 . think he has the pure trans , and Z1 dif also . ill ask why that is . the next need for the platform will be ( should be ) axles. at some point ill be shooting for some 1/4 mile attempts . car ran 10.08 with real meh tires ( 255/45/19 ) . if i hit a 9.7 , id be hyped .

im a dealer i see the 3.0t all with bad eng. I pick up 2 of them and put motors on the mand both of them the engs went bad. the first one happend in 500 miles and lock up and the 2nd started knocking after 1700mil

Bought Certified Used 3 years ago on a lease turn in that was previously owned by woman executive at 11k miles. Garage kept, only 33k miles, brand new DWS 06s, Diff, Transfer, Trans, Fuel and other maintenance just done this week. Zero modifications! Not sure what I can get privately. If I keep, I am going to start modding but also pondering '24 Model 3 LR AWD. I like that the Q50 is sleeper unique though. Goal isn't too crazy. Under 12.5s with slightly stiffer suspension (no coilovers needed...). Plan to start is HX, JB4, Dry Dropins, and ARBs. Next would be WMI and DPs. Would 100% love to hear your thoughts! Respect!

I wholely believe Nissan/Infiniti should have done a recall on these Valvebodies/TCM. In Jamaica, this is a MAJOR issue as the model we have here 95% of the time is the Q50 Hybrid/Nissan Skyline 350GT and that requires the part number ETC94-140N. This 140N is VERY hard to get as most people have the 110N part number selling which is very much incompatible with the hybrids and they cost around 600+ for JUST the TCM as opposed to 300 for the 110N models. This has caused a surge of owners actually selling their Hybrids here for pretty much cheap because of either having their TCM failed or want to get rid of the car before it does. The next issue is that when buying these online, you pretty much don't know the mileage as I had to replace my own last year June which this replacement part also failed less than 2000km after changing it out (failed again in August). Good thing the seller had a 3 month warranty on the item so I was able to get back my money since they didn't have any other ones to give me. The issue though is with the TCM, not the valvebody. We've done a lot of testing here with just the valvebody swap vs the TCM swap and all of them so far has been fixed with just the TCM since that's the part that actually goes bad. My 2015 q50 hybrid has been sitting since August last year because there are dishonest sellers online advertising the 140N model but then sending the incorrect one (110N) and since it takes so long to ship to me, I have to be disputing this with the seller because they think the 140N and 110N are both compatible (even though I specifically told them it's not before purchasing) and sending back the item for a refund, or disputing it with my bank (I've made 3 purchase since August, all 3 sellers sent the wrong part number after advertising the correct part). I'm now looking at paying around triple the price of getting one locally here (around $1500 from a crashed one here) just to get my car running. Needless to say this is the end of my journey with the Q50 as I'm definitely going to be selling it once it's fixed. It's been almost 5 years and it's been good to me minus the past year where now I have to be swapping out the TCM/valvebody 2 times now. Definitely don't want a 3rd time to catch me with this issues
