Instead of string can you use glue ? I mean what is sola wood ?

What does sola wood roll ? Your camera needs to be centered on what you are working on. Most of the time you were way at the top of your screen and we the people couldn't see anything. Also your camera needs to be 100% closer, so we could see what you are doing. Is there a way to make the flowers a different colors ? We couldn't see how you made the knot, the camera wasn't close enough.

What is the purpose of adding anything but water to powdered dye, like glycerin OR soap

Sorry butt you really need to keep your hands in the center of the camera so we can get a good view of what you are doing. I really like the way your making these and I would really like it if you could redo this Video. Thanks Larry

Are you still doing your channel? I know it's small, but I'd love to see you grow! You're a great teacher and love your personality... I ordered a box full of naked Sola wood flowers and never did anything with them so trying to learn. Just ordered a tiny bottle of softener from Walmart, so waiting on that to begin!

Did you just spray paint in your house?!?! I'm in a wheel chair and live with my parents, so I can't do that but I'd so open a window and do that if I could! Thank you for the info ❤❤❤

Can you add text to clarify what you are adding: 1 cup hot water, 1 tablespoon glycerin, additional 2 tablespoons glycerin, etc.
@myrnagreen6453 Жыл бұрын
It is difficult to differenciate the color on the flowers. Use lighter colors and drasticly contrasting to see the changes. Have camera on your activity not you.

Do you dip the flowers in glycerin first before dying the flowers? How long do you have to wait for flowers to dry after they've been dipped in glycerin?

It was a bit confusing - so for 2 cups warm water 3 tablespoons? That gives you the softest flower?

@@sandrabuck7494 I haven't tried organic glycerin. This is what I have bought and it works well. www.amazon.com/dp/B06XXHXRND/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_MB3HWETG23YTQ4XTC5H3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=ml2&tag=solafloweruni-20 (I do get a small commission for you using my link)

Mix 2 tablespoons of acrylic paint+ 1/2 c room temp water. Then add some room temp glycerin. If your color isn't bold enough all you have to do is save your paint mixture, stir it up and dip them again the next day. It's also way more affordable. (It's also hard to compare Rit with Acrylic paints when they aren't identical shades, maybe that's why the black ones all looked the same)

Questions: will the Dawn keep the flowers flexible after they dry? Also, if you need more specialty colors that aren’t available in RIT dye - how do you get those really dark? Like a burgundy or emerald green or navy etc? Thanks!
@SolaFlowerUniversity2 жыл бұрын
Dawn does keep flowers somewhat flexible after drying. Glycerin definitely does a better job in my experience. To get more specialized colors go to your local paint store and ask them to make you a sample size in the color you need and play around with the water & paint ratio until your coverage is good. 🥰
