Oh my gosh! This is great. I’ve been struggling with this technique. I’d start off with such a long strand of yarn and it would tangle and stretch. My edge would look so lumpy and the tension was too loose or tight in spots. I was ready to give up. I’ve wasted so much material trying to push forward. You make it look so simple! Thank you

I hope it helps! It still definitely takes patience and practice, but hopefully with these tips you’ll be able to get it done.

So thankful for this video! I’m working on a sweater in Manchelopis and I wanted the tubular look for the bottom but just was scared with this delicate yarn. This was so helpful!

I am currently knitting on my first (only?) Soldotna Sweater (which will be cropped but probably 5-6 inches longer than the pattern calls for) out of random-ish scraps from my stash. I have the Winter Sweater on my TBK list because I was recently gifted a sweaters quantity of yarn that had been partially knit in a cable cardigan and the cables pop in that yarn, however I could not understand the pattern, nor did I like the moss stitch hem, so I'm frogging it and found the Winter Sweater as a possibility for the knit. Though I do also really love Siri Cardigan Solo and may buy and knit that pattern.

I've looked and looked and I can't find the name of the brown sweater with bobbles that is on the cover photo for the video. Do you know what it is?
@KnitandGrace3 ай бұрын
Hello, the photo is a stock photo that I’ve used as inspiration for my wardrobe, not a knitting pattern as far as I know.

Thank you Mia for such a thoughtful and informative video. I really enjoyed watching while knitting the Utility Shawl by Jonathan Day. My first time using mohair and learning some new to me stitches.

I checked out your project pages on Ravelry. and I thank you for such helpful notes. I bought the Hibernate pattern yesterday and now I am pretty pysched to cast on. I actually have quite a nice collection of Good Wool, so that will probably be the one! Thanks for the spotlight, Mia. It was super ... and it was very sweet how you plugged the pattern and the test knitting process. You rock! 💗

Very interesting video, thank you. I think I maybe purchasing a new pattern soon... I really liked the dusky pink, definitely a neutral and the only shade of pink I will wear. I much prefer greens and dark blues. I'm working on my first ever cardigan whilst I watch/listen 😊

Perfect timing, I just purchased the pattern earlier today! It was good to hear about different yarn choices. While listening I almost made it to the toe decreases on my Rad Radish socks which have been so much fun to make.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have subscribed to you and I’m really glad that I found you. Thank you so much. There’s quite a few there that I would love to connect. Was there a couple there that weren’t on the list that you had down below? There was a sweater, look like fingering weight maybe sport weight which is what I prefer. It was white or beige. There was a couple that I couldn’t find in your list.

Hi Linda, the list was only for the links of patterns that are available off of Ravelry. For the full listing of patterns, you will need to click on the Ravelry project bundle.

P.S. I am working on a pair of Leap Year socks and the Islands CAL, and I have the yarn & pattern ready to cast on for Aimee Sher's Friendship Sweater. But a few more pullovers to plan for (e.g. the Quinn and the Laura) is always a good time!

Just an idea to reduce harsh shadows - bouncing light on your left (viewers right). Hanging white cloth just outside the shot, mirrors could help reduce shadows. It might not work perfectly, but an idea to try if you like location and don't want artificial lights 😊
@KnitandGrace4 ай бұрын
I'm aware of all of the things that I need to do to avoid the lighting situation but sometimes good enough is better than perfect, especially when it means not needing to fuss with a set-up as I juggle filming content between life, a full-time job, and more. Thanks for watching!
