What a great pile of makes !!! The tomato Zadie is FANTASTIC!!! What a perfect color on you !!! All so lovely. I appreciate that you share some lovely makes with more reasonable fabrics . I’m a newer garment sewist so my skills aren’t there quite yet but it is encouraging to see lovely makes from box store fabrics . Happy sewing .

Thanks for sharing all your pattern and fabric finds and the Zadie, which looks like it has really interesting construction in the pants front and looks lovely on you. I look forward to seeing all the beautiful garments you make with all your fabric in future videos. Happy sewing and knitting!

Hi! I love simple linen or coton dresses especially in the summer. I have used the Shift dress pattern by Wiksten at least 20 times. I have made a few for myself and then, my daughter, my mom, my friends, my niece saw it and really loved it. They were happy when I asked them if they wanted a dress. It is a simple sew with a WOW factor. Love the clothes that you sew. Have a good day! Elise

Hi Mia. This podcast was very timely for me. I enjoyed seeing your finished and future projects. I haven't sewn a garment in decades and have wanted to get back into it. I bought some fabric on sale at Joann to make a wearable toile of the Celeste dress by Itch to Stitch. I was surprised at the cost of garment fabrics and really appreciate your comments about the fabrics you chose. I think its a good idea to separate the knit ting and sewing content. I like the in depth discussion of your makes.

Enjoying your sewing podcasts along with the knitting. I also do both and it’s nice to see your projects for inspiration. I would be okay with mixed podcasts but it is quite nice that you separate the knitting and sewing so people can pick and choose.

Hi Mia, I appreciate and thoroughly enjoy your podcasts (both knitting and sewing). I vote for you keeping them separate. I am two steps over the line of a beginner level sewist. It is so helpful that you share the modifications you've made as well as the logic for them! You give me some much needed encouragement to just get on with it rather than getting stuck.... in what if doesn't fit. I too have purchased the Sew Liberated pant class and plan to view over the next week or two. I am currently sewing the MM 101 Trouser in an olive/cream checked cotton. I will wear them just hanging out at home. Also cutting out the MM Clover top in a black eyelet. Thanks again for your fun and enjoyable content!!! Have a FABULOUS trip to the PNW.

Hello again! I am sewing a grey linen shirt with the Jenna pattern from Closet core patterns. I really enjoy this sewing because the pattern is so so well explained. Elise

Here with you on making the same things again and again if we enjoy the process and the final result! Your Zadie jumpsuits are so cute and look so comfortable!! LOVE your Hinterlands. Since I've done a ton more finishings on garments in the past year, I'm looking forward to re-visiting the Hinterland Dress and adding in the element of a bodice button placket. I need to practice bust darts more (and generally avoid them lol). I hear ya on sewing spurts. I have to be in the right mindset - I can't just zone out like I can with knitting a sweater body in stockinette round and round. Plus, with modifications in sewing projects, I can more quickly make that change versus knitting another new sweater with modifications. I've been on a roll sewing up several pairs of June Pants/Shorts by Helen's Closet. LOVE IT. And pairing those bottoms with knit tops has been SO MUCH FUN. I am kicking myself a little for not taking part in the Blackbird Fabrics BFF sale - I had browsed and put stuff in my cart but chickened out and didn't purchase anything. Next year! Take care and talk soon friend!~Stephanie ETA: The Seamwork Baker Dress is so cute!!! I have the March Top & Dress by Helen's Closet that has a similar silhouette with voluminous sleeves and the V-neck tie thing going on with a gathered skirt. One day I will be brave enough to make it. I have the pattern printed on A0 and I have the linen fabric to make it ...I just don't have the confidence to do it yet....

Thanks for watching! 😊 I don’t have anything fancy. My sewing machine is a Brother CS7000 and my serger is a Janome 8933D.

where do you send you patterns for printing? I DISPISE taking up a PDF pattern and it's a huge barrier for me with sewing

Most of the online fabric stores offer large scale printing these days. You can also try your local big box office supply store. But I agree, tiling pattern pieces is a nightmare and I would sew a lot less if I had to do it.
