Be careful when defining success, because you may define it incorrectly and get depression 5 years later

How would you be depressed if you define what success is for you? If you know what success is for you, as long as you're on your way to it (even if it takes 50 years, that's fine) you'll be happy because you know you're progressing there. If you are one who expects to get everything quickly and within 5 years you get depression because you didn't get what you wanted, that's a problem.
