Es ist klar, dass Sie keine Ahnung haben, wegen Labor und Reparaturen. Unten das Gerät ein weicher foam Teppich steht, es ist normal, und auch in ReVox Service war so gemacht. Keine andere Weg zu arbeiten, Sir.

Nice video I just got a Revox A77 MK4 its fast forward, rewinds when hit play the capstan engage but freezes not play , what could be the problem ?

Pathe records can be played with a steel needle somewhat. but, you need to turn the soundbox facing forward like pathe, so it doesn't ruin it. Try it at your own risk.

Also, you can put candle wax on the record while it's spinning to reduce wear, I already tried it. but, it does the job.

Slightly too fast. You can feel it when she makes her announcement at the beginning. Besides, her voice is too high at the end, like a cat screaming when I stepped on its tail.

I have 2 model A77's here in the shop. One question : At 3:30 in the video I can see the tape moving along those two chrome guide wheels. Are those free-spinning or , is the tape just brushing the surface? Thanks

I would never place my A77s face down on the front plate, even on a foam cushion. The beast is heavy and it is easy to loose your grip. If it falls, the tension arm and the S1-S4 switch shafts can bend. The machine is too heavy to rest on its face. I learned that the hard way. The only safe way to do this is to build a frame which raises the machine high enough so that the knobs, spindles and tension arm do not rest on the work surface. Otherwise, a great video. Thanks for posting.

The foam cushions are made exactly for this. In ReVox Service we used to do this each day. Necer had the slightest problem, of course with the foam.
