@@travismiller8975 I did one last year, I need to put another one together. Especially now that PC maker NZXT has been caught trying to lease gaming PCs on a subscription model. Physical ownership is being taken away by force. I don’t remember the exact number but fiscal year 2022 Best Buy did somewhere around a billion $ per quarter on physical media then just gave it up saying nobody wants it….or how Disney pulled physical than raised the price of D+….yeah I need to sit down and do another video on it, it’s wild when you dig into it

Glad you could score this one! Its a wonderfull feeling and experience getting a fan on your want list like that. I've seen this one somewhere before.. I'm not fully for certain but I think that is a Homart cooler that was referbished with a Mcgraw edison box fan gaurd on it. By the way have you ever seen a 4 blade Wizard box fan like I own? I enjoyed the video bro.

Yeah, the only difference I can tell vs a Homart is the grill and NO RUST lol. Every Homart I've seen for sale has had rust issues. Man that Wizard is nice, I don't think I've seen a 4-blade that old that wasn't a 12-16". Good videos on it too.

In fact I've only seen one that ever surfaced in the history of KZbin other than the video's I posted 3 years ago, this is big childhood fan that was really on my want list for a long time too, and now I have 4 of them!

Do we need RAID? I'm transition to 2 copies on HDD and 1 copy on SSD for my data. Microsoft Storage Spaces and Intel RST RAID 1 don't really provide any real value that I can notice for now.

I personally don't run any RAID other than a software RAID 0 for striped speed. I maintain backups to HDD and most of my data can be re-collected with time. Irreplaceable data is backed up to the cloud also. Only having 2x20tb RAID 0 makes more sense than having a mirror.

These old Dominion box fans do have character, I like the build and start up sounds on those things too. The only Dominion branded fan I never owned was a 9inch table 2 speed fan I had in the late 2010s, same color and everything. Unfortunately I lost it about a year ago but I plan to get another in the future. I'd like to see more vintage box fan content and I enjoyed the video.

@@stevethefanman8955 the bearing wicks did not like to hold oil anymore and my now ex wife threw out my fan collection when we moved in 2018. In total 3 dumpsters and a full garbage truck were thrown away in 2018, most of it was dads and mine. Some needed to go, some I wish I had been firmer on especially now that we are divorced

I didn't expect to find another one, I've only seen one other ever when uxwbill found one several years ago. After dad passed last year I saved an ebay search and lucked into this one. I will never forget how gnarly that back grille around the motor looked as a kid.

I actually bought one yesterday at a toy train swap meet. Interesting thing about the one I bought was that I was still new. The guy at the booth said that it had never been run and was only open for display with the bag still around it and the extra wheels and pilot truck still wrapped. Got it for half the cost of what they were worth on Ebay.

1:05 I haven’t seen any evidence to the fact that BetaMax was ever superior to VHS. I mean the fact that the VHS had longer times was what made it superior because VCRs were initially only made to record TVs and weren’t initially used for home video releases. In terms of the video and audio quality there doesn’t seem to be any kind of benefits to BetaMax from what I’ve seen. To be clear would recommend the youtuber “Technology Connections” video on the topic, thats where I got all this information. Anyway still really cool video just wanted to point this out.

Good stuff man !! I just got myself a Japanese char edition GC and I’m wondering whether or not I need to invest into a US power adapter or not ?? The research I have done on google says it will be fine to use the Japanese power adapter here in the US but I’m still not 100% sure .

@@ethanfuller5353 Japanese adaptor works in the us out of the box. Japan uses 100 volt AC at 50/60hz depending where in the country you are so the adaptors are easily able to convert US power. From my experience with Famicom through GameCube US/Japan controllers/video/power cables are all cross compatible out of the box without modification.

@@Cozmixcartoons Lionel bought the rights to Flyer in 1967 and has been making a limited product line since the 80s. They have put more effort into the line the last 10 years.

@@Cozmixcartoons Flyer is usually cheaper than O gauge, just make sure you know what you're getting into: Most of what you'll find at shows will probably be MPC era so minimal sound and transformer control only. FlyerChief is only a few years old, maybe 5-7, they made the Chief/bluetooth controls as a stop-gap since Base3 was delayed for so long. If you go that route you'll probably find that postwar flyer is better running than MPC Lionel flyer.
