What is the website and is it free to use? Also what language is this in?
@GunterBots7 ай бұрын
I have a couple of answers... The site is called wokwi and it is free. There is a pay feature but you can get pretty far in the free version. This video is actually from a course I put together teaching Robotics to kids and kids at heart (learning problem solving while having fun) You can do c++(Arduino) or micro python

Hi together, what i can do if i turn my device on and get an error (OS error) and not the choice of the 3 options? Does it mean the M5stack is broken?
@marks999993 жыл бұрын
For one, Support is out (check the website). They don't offer support. I bought a Core2 and need an API to use Flow UI, I didn't get an API. I ran M5Burner, I tried Erasing, but that fails, as does downloading, that fails. Tried the Community for help, but getting Invalid Credentials. So yeah, no Support if you make the mistake to buy their product AND have a problem.

Great video. I'm now learning to program the M5stack. I came to a limitation, either mine or UIflow's ! I want to use the buttons to navigate between different screens (select an option and moving to another screen, with another options) but then I cannot visualize the layout properly because everything becomes overlapped! I'm using the commands to show/hide the labels in the different screens but overall, it's a really big mess! Can someone help?

If the servers get overloaded that the connection between the web UIFlow and the M5Stack will fail.

ah yeah...in this instance i was using USB, but you bring up a great point! I will also make sure to include the type of UI Flow I am using.

I just received my first M5Stack, I can't get UIFlow to connect to it. The M5Burner works, I did manage to use it to erase the demo on the module and burn another demo in its place, and the COM port shows up in Windows and in UIFlow, but it shows as "disconnected". If I try to connect, then I get "Upload code failed, maybe your device is offline". Even though the device is operating at this point. Given the high price for a Chinese microcontroler module I expected it to work out of the box, kinda like you're showing in your video. I guess it's the same half-baked crap as usual and I'm gonna have to waste the whole week-end getting this to work. Disappointing. I search the M5Stack for a tutorial and all I got was a link to your video, by the way : you should consider asking for compensation.

Have you tried the m5burner? I can do a video on that if you need.

@@GunterBots I sorted it out. It was two things : turns out my USB C cable was dodgy and the communication would reset intermittently (note that it's one of my cables, not the one provided with the module, so that's on me). Also, apparently I had to run the IDE as admin (I'm using the offline version, not the web-based version, maybe that's part of the problem). Now everything works and the real work begins : getting to program this thing in C++ :-D
