Yes a bit tidier, but as you said you need to get organised lol, if you put the tools back where they should go when finished, you will know where they are next time lol.

@bogermil4201 Yes i used the old method, but this one was a lot stiffer, so I used my glazing hammer to bounce the handle with a little more force. 👍

Great video Johnathan - as usual. Thank you for all of your videos - I have learnt a lot from you. The how to open a Era Vectis with broken talon was especially useful. That customer was a bit of a DIYer, he even rang ERA to ask for the drill point. It was great to see his face when I had it open in seconds, wouldn't talk to me for a little while. I'm new to the locksmith game (started trading last July), there are a fair few other locksmiths around here (Oswestry, Shropshire) so things can be a bit slow. But I'm enjoying it and learning all the time. Thanks again for your content - appreciate it.

I work electro mechanical and sometimes with a lot more fiddly than door locks but you prove that experience makes the job a whole lot easier. You get a feel for the steel and chippys have the same skill with wood. I prefer working with metals they are a lot more forgiving than wood. Subscribed, Crack on.

Love the use of your finger on the gt 85 nozzle! very relatable, they should come with spare heads 😂 thanks for the upload mate I just learnt how to take a mortice lock apart properly. Wish I knew this a couple years ago when I opened one at work and some springs popped all over the place, I just called it a loss 😃

That is a good question, I would say it probably adds to it, but probably not enough for that size of keys. Maybe a bigger bunch could wear the lock quicker. 👍

Yes, I agree. That's why this is part 1. Because I didn't have the right size lock case on my van so I got it temporarily working until the new lock comes in 👍

Of all the locks nowadays... The old mortice lock still provides an impressive resistance to tampering.. Amazing how that design has lasted... If it ain't broke don't fix it... But on this occasion it is 😂
