"Birds cannot get tattoos, that would kill them" has been living rent free in my head for 6 years now. Hope you're doing well, Tom.

I love this album. nostalgic? yes. but also still love the melodies. however, the band got WAAAAY better when Fred joined. and they are less-good without him. still like the stuff they've done since, but those Fred albums were TBS at their peak. their sound was so tight.

The electronic beats felt weird at first, but this album blew me away when I got it and I still listen to it A LOT. amazing record. artwork does suck, yes. fav BYD record tho. and Mat is aware he sounds like Mortal Kombat dude. every time I saw them live he'd always do soundcheck by saying "check! check!......GET OVER HEEERRREEE!!!!"

dude, I got this CD the summer after 6th grade. 1999. so amazing. listened to it about 200 times that summer. had to buy a random pack of stickers so I could stick one OVERTOP of the Parental Advisory sticker and make my parents think it was a clean version hahaha

Listened to this album probably once a month between 2005 and 2010. Once a year since then. Still love it front to back.

I think this record still holds up, front to back great tracks. their earlier and later stuff never did much for me. kinda like A7X "Waking The Fallen", this is just a perfect record by a band that only struck lightning once (IMO). I will admit the lyrical themes are mostly corny now. but the riffs and hooks are still perfect.

damn, man. I still love this album. Louder Now was also amazing. I know people hate to hear this, but the Fred years were the band at their absolute peak. their sound and songwriting was just at an insane level and they've never matched it (sorry guys). I will admit the artwork sucks. one of the worst in my 800 CD collection.

I'll admit it. When I first heard BT, it was this album and I was just not ready for it. all the songs sounded the same to me. few years later I grew up a bit and someone gave me a copy of The Truth. fell in love with that, went back to this album and it made sense to me finally. so great. The Truth and their self-titled records are better to me, but this is a great one as well. P.S. If you want a band that REALLY uses movie quotes, check out Killwhitneydead. they're the KINGS of quotes and a vastly underrated heavy band.

maybe not every song is a banger, but MOST are awesome. great record. love the third one also. but man, their fourth album "Holding A Wolf By The Ears" is WAAAAAy better. give that a listen. front-to-back killer tracks. no bad ones.

Definitely Shadows Fall's best album. love this one. but I gotta say there's plenty of metalcore albums that I like more. Bleeding Through "The Truth", KsE "AOJB", Unearth "The Oncoming Storm", Misery Signals "Of Malice & The Magnum Heart", IDT "Sirens", etc. amazing record though.

Of all the great Thin Lizzy songs out there ( and there are MANY) you choose to cover the one song that gets played to death by every classic rock radio station in the country. SMH. And no, I did NOT watch or listen to your rendition of it.
