Going Along with #1, don’t forget to hydrate! Dehydration isn’t a joke and don’t forget the electrolytes! If you wait until you’re thirsty it’s too late! Drink lots of water even if you’re just visiting. And not just in summer, all year round!!

Great video! Any thoughts on Hondo or the area between Hondo & Bandera? We noticed several newer development communities being built there as we were driving and exploring the area.

IMO the hill country are the only areas in Texas with any decent scenery. The rest of the state is pretty depressing looking.

My wife and I moved from SW Austin to Spicewood (25 miles) four years ago. I can tell you that there is much less rainfall out here. I never knew cedar trees could die in a drought. Deer-proofing young trees is manditory for several years. If you are on water/wastewater utility, you will pay dearly. Internet services are very costly for substandard performance. It is 30 minutes to an HEB in both directions (Lakeway/Bee Cave or Marble Falls), but the experience between them is the stuff of socioeconomic documentaries. Part of the reason we left Austin was the property taxes, but Burnet county is no less greedy. Land tax appraisels have gone up over 300% in that short time.

I live in Bandera. My dad's parents moved here in 1911. I've lived here for 8 years. I do not like it here but you have to be one of the most fake people I've seen. You have no idea what is even happening. Get some psoriasis medication and put your red face on main in Bandera.

Do you have any suggestions about (very) small pieces of land to place a tiny home? I don't particularly want to be in a TH community for various reasons. For me… it’s a book series i read 15 years ago about the government creating vampires out of death row inmates and 100 years later… bam kerrville is a non infected human refugee camp…. Super successful because of the geography

HOWEVER, the Affordability and NICE PPL???.. I can tell ya 1st hand..its not as PRO as Con since 2018.. i never saw so many changes in such a short time..for instance, the Great Reset crashed most of the quaint mom n pop's..they been priced out and Big Boxes have overbuilt to the point of no parking and greatly reduced driving space..Terrible city planning, imo..its def affected by Big Investor greed. Rent goes up 3xs a yr.. It's hard to find affordable renting or homebuying...Land has tripled and ppl are Irritable.. but locals are Happily cashing in, every 3 months..lol
