Great video! Once the phone is connected, how do you turn the monitor off on the back of the camera?
@CreativeTechLab9 күн бұрын
I don't think there's a way to automatically do that. However you could set a custom button to maybe switch to the EVF

FYI, You should rewrap the files when offloading ( that's what FCP does when it imports directly from the card ) , you risk loosing; TC, recording date and other information. Taking the clips directly from the card without the XML files is not the right way to do it.

Please tell me about the use of gray card. What is the distance facing the camera? Is there any difference between indoor and outdoor? thank you
@CreativeTechLab9 күн бұрын
Grey card distance should be in the box and reflecting the light source so the camera can judge the white balance. Same principles apply indoors or outdoors

Question … even though I have all the settings pointing to an external drive … What might cause the more complicated renderings eat up my local hard drive space (only when it is rendering though … seems to give it back once completed)
@CreativeTechLab9 күн бұрын
Not sure if that's just a redering issue. But I would also check on your proxy or optimized media settings.

there's a dropdown at the bottom of the inspector window. Your is probably set to 'Basic'. Change it to 'Settings' or 'General' and you will get the Camera LUT option

Hi brother, I just started my adventure into the world of street photography and I’ve been doing it with my phone because that’s what I have for now. I have been considering getting a camera to take with me everywhere and use set camera to street photography instead of using my phone, this Sony rx 100 VII looks great for that because I can take photos and video. In your opinion do you think that is a good camera to have for street photography or should i get a Ricoh grIII or a Fuji x100v
@CreativeTechLabАй бұрын
To be honest I don't have any experience with the Ricoh or Fuji cameras, other than seeing online reviews and knowing that people LOVE them. I don't think the RX100 really competes with those cameras either, especially with the long zoom range.

I like the 1/4, the eighth just smudges the skin tone. On you, I prefer no filter, your skin texture is so interesting. I'd put on a vignette, filter for your tee shirt, nude for you. :) Your model doesn't need a filter :) Probably, it depends on the model.

Hi there, please if you can help me. I have sony alpha a5100. I installed imaging edge, and remote. connected camera via PC remote. everything is working. but there is no live view in the remote. I check on their official page - Supported Devices section - and for my a5100 there is no Display Live View. The problem it is that i want to live stream, and my camera doesn't appear anywhere, in obs, or in-browser broadcaster.. That means should I get a capture card this will solve the problem 100% ?? What do you think please thank you so much in advance

a5100 is an older camera. I'm not sure what features it supports. I'd check the Sony website for more info. Or even the older playmemories app

Amazing review just what I was looking for. I have a FUJIFILM XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR Lens. Do you think thr 1/8 or 1|4 would be best. I heard if you have a higher focal lenght like 85mm then 1/8 is good other if you have lower the 1'\4 is better. Is this correct ?
@CreativeTechLabАй бұрын
I see that comment a lot about matching diffusion strengths to focal lengths. The best explanation I've found is from a forum on the subject. Someoene named David perfectly summarized it like this: "The issue here are two somewhat contradictory ideas. One is that longer focal lengths needs less diffusion to match strength. Two is that tighter shots needs more diffusion because our eyes want more clarity (information) for wide shots. Both are correct. What confuses people is that we associate using longer focal lengths with going in tighter, and we think wider shots always use shorter focal lengths. What this all really boils down to is that you have to pick the strength of the diffusion by what feels right to you in terms of the degree of softening. Or you can think of the two rules, being contradictory somewhat, as cancelling each other out and you can just use the same filter most of the time. But I would still adjust the strength now and then to control the level of detail (use less or none for extreme wide shots, use more for extreme close-ups) or to compensate when the situation is already causing softening (low-contrast scenes like in a hazed set for example, or shooting into a hot sky and getting a lot of flare.)" Hope that gives you some more clarity.
