Go to any Mass, any where in the world, and one will sadly find only noise...

How can we not be affected spiritually by visiting the sites Our Lady has physically appeared and spoken at. These are a gift from God to all the Church. Great to hear the Dub on the podcast! We miss him in Cork! Why do we pray the Rosary? Because Our Mother asks us to. Always do what your Mammy tells you😂

Great to get a sense of the atmosphere of early Tudor Dublin. It''s important to remember how very English Dublin was for centuries.

Noted Catholic writer and essayist Flannery O'Connor was told at a social event that the Eucharist was symbolic. To which she replied: "If it is only a symbol, to hell with it!"

Just like the story of Oisin when he returns from Tir nan nóg he is surprised to see how small the men of Ireland had became as the book of Enoch and the bible sais these were the Hero's of old Fionn Mcool was a nephilim giant

Hello from Holyhead: I greatly enjoyed your video. As late as the 1920’s and 30’s the 5/6 Calvinistic Methodist ministers at Holyhead would each cross over, once or twice a year, to take services at the chapel at Talbot Street. My grandfather was one of them, and for instance, his Sunday engagement diary shows that in 1935 he was in Dublin on 23 June and 22 September. The presence of these minister’s enabled preaching and the administration of the Lord’s Supper to take place fairly often. Diolch am adrodd hanes y capel bach.

I am wondering about temperance on board a British ship? Were not sailors almost obliged to drink their dram? Was it not a way of preventing scurvy and a good source of some otherwise missing minerals? Would not captains promoted the taking of at least a bit every day?

Thanks for doing this video. It is amazing to find out about what went on in Dublin in the 19th century. I would be interested in learning more about the Dutch-speaking Lutherans (who were a tiny minority in their own land). I know about this church, but I always found it a bit odd in that Methodism and Calvinism do not go together well. Something had to give of one or both or am I missing something?

great video father. however the video thumbnail highlights carlow and not kilkenny. this will cause great scandal amongst is kilkenny folk 😂
@irishdominicans2 ай бұрын
The thumbnail is taken from the video which we shot at St Kenny's Well in Kilkenny City. No need for scandal among the people!
@ixmmmichael2 ай бұрын
@@irishdominicans i concur that the majority of the video’s thumbnail image depicts St Kenny’s Well and its proximity. however, the area of this thumbnail depicting the map of ireland highlights the county of Carlow insinuating that the location of this great well is not within the boundaries of Kilkenny but those of Carlow. we’ve been deprived of our cherished Liam McCarthy Cup for long enough father. please don’t now take from us our hallowed well.
